FanDuel: Leaning Into Castillo And Foster Griffin, Zero On Suarez
FanDuel's slate starts earlier and runs deeper, and it's an uncomfortable pitcher pool overall, most of the volume arms are volatile. Castillo is the exception. His season strikeout rate sits at 19.7%, but it's been running at 27.8% over his last few starts, and Cincinnati strikes out against everybody right now. Foster Griffin (CLE) is the favorite of the chalky pieces against Detroit, worth sitting above the field's roughly 16% ownership number; Griffin's own strikeout-prop line has taken steady over money at every book, a signal the market respects his length tonight. On the other end, Ranger Suarez is a pitcher with no place in the pool: he's coming off back-to-back starts capped at 65 and then 105 pitches as Boston manages his workload, and the outs market is taking heavy under steam. "If Ranger Suarez beats me on FanDuel, I will be mega tilted," Lindquist said, calling him an actively bad play at his $9,400 price and third-highest ownership on the slate.

FanDuel Stacks: The Cubs Are The Favorite, Kansas City Is The Sneaky Play
The Chicago Cubs against Jackson Kent is the stack of the night. Kent grades out with a legitimately good changeup and a 25% strikeout rate at Triple-A, but he's walking into the best offense in baseball against left-handed pitching, the Cubs carry a 124 wRC+ vs. LHP, easily the top mark in the sport, and Washington's bullpen behind him is thin with Luis Garcia Jr. and James Wood both out of the lineup. The stack builds around Michael Busch, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Seiya Suzuki, Dansby Swanson, batting ninth but still a real bat in a good hitter's park, and a lightly owned Carson Kelly at catcher.

Pete Crow-Armstrong pairs with Shohei Ohtani as the salary anchors of the build, a great salary structure on a slate where the pitcher pool doesn't offer much certainty. The Seattle note is worth flagging on its own: Cal Raleigh has fallen from a historic, HR Derby-winning catcher season a year ago to a below-replacement-level year in 2026, but the bats around him, Cole Young, Randy Arozarena and a leadoff-caliber J.P. Crawford, are still performing well against right-handed pitching, which is why a little more Mariners exposure belongs in the pool on both sites rather than fading the whole lineup because of one name's collapse.
DraftKings: A Six-Game Slate Built Around Fading Bryce Miller
DraftKings' six-game slate, New York Yankees-Seattle, Boston-Toronto, Cincinnati-Chicago White Sox, Kansas City-Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas-Los Angeles Angels and New York Mets-Atlanta, is a rough pitcher slate, and the plan is to let a quarter of the field split between Castillo, Jose Soriano and Atlanta debut starter Tyler Mahle while playing almost none of the slate's most expensive arm. Bryce Miller (SEA) is $9,700 and projected around a quarter owned, but he's taking on a Yankees lineup that hits right-handed pitching hard, a 181 isolated-power mark and a 102 wRC+ as a team, boosted further since the Luis Garcia Jr. addition. "You best believe I'm going to be rocking some Yankees bats," Lindquist said, with the Yankees rostered in close to half the DraftKings lineup pool.

DraftKings Stacks And Value: Witt, Colson Montgomery, And Murakami
At shortstop, Bobby Witt Jr. (KC) is the slate's highest-owned player, with Witt and Corey Seager (TEX) combined projected to land in 65-70% of the DraftKings lineup pool. Colson Montgomery (CWS) is the favorite play at third base, with Ryan McMahon as a cheaper salary-saver alternative. On the Yankees stack that funds the Bryce Miller fade, Munetaka Murakami is the favorite piece at first base or DH, with Austin Wells and Ben Rice rounding out the build. The Red Sox against Jose Soriano is the DraftKings leverage stack, built around Masataka Yoshida leading off and Adley Rutschman catching, both part of a Boston lineup that's trimmed its strikeout rate against right-handed pitching to 21.9% since July 1.
Worked Example: Funding The Yankees Stack Around A Cheap Second Pitcher
On DraftKings, pairing Bryce Miller's $9,700 fade with George Klassen at $6,000 frees real salary for the Yankees build, Murakami, Wells and Rice, without forcing a discount arm elsewhere in the lineup. That's the same math driving the Castillo/Soriano/Mahle chalk split at the top of the pool: none of the three is expensive enough to crowd out a full stack, so the Sims can spread pitcher exposure across all three rather than forcing a single choice.
