MLB DFS EARLY Top Stacks 6/21 ⚾️🎇
FanDuel is spicing things up with the inclusion of the PIT@COL and MIN@ARZ matchups, which should be prioritized heavily.
CIN at RHP Elmer Rodriguez 4.4 runs: It is warm, with a nice breeze to right, which should help LHBs JJ Bleday and Nate Lowe against the rookie hurler on his third callup of the season. The 22yo needs a little more seasoning, but he is likely to be in the NY rotation for the next half decade. Ground balls are his calling card, but the concentration of Reds at the top of the order have enough lift to keep things on edge.
MIL at RHP Bryce Elder 4.5 runs: Elders has very little K-potential, trying to survive via ground balls and limiting power. The Brew Crew can put up crooked numbers against anyone and the top-7 are all in play this afternoon, giving us a variety of salary points and positional eligibility.
TEX vs RHP Lucas Giolito 4.2 runs: The baseball nomad is on his fifth team in the last three seasons, sitting out 2024 (elbow). The only thing he has done well is avoid home runs, with just 16 Ks and a horrendous 21 BBs in 25.2 IP. Considering he led the league with 41 back in 2023, that should change soon in what is likely a last hurrah season. Feel free to mix and match the injury riddled Rangers.
CLE at RHP Kai-Wei Teng 4.4 runs: The Guardians managed to put 8 of 10 baserunners across home last night, while getting a trio of taters. They are still decimated by injuries, though Teng has had a rough go as a starter, with 11 BBs and 6 HRs in 17.1 IP with 20 runs allowed, despite 22 Ks. Kyle Manzardo, Rhys Hoskins, Travis Bazzana and Brayan Rocchio are Sunday's core four.

MLB DFS EARLY Pitchers 6/21 ⚾️ 🏖️
Keep tabs on TOR@CHC with a potential PPD in the cards, eliminating RHP Dylan Cease as a tournament target.
Logan Webb at MIA 3.6 runs: Webb continues his ground ball artistry once more with a 52% rate, albeit with fewer whiffs than DFS gamers would like. He will see at least three high strikeout candidates (HKCs) from the Marlins, with only Liam Hicks and Kyle Stowers as the worrisome bats.
Nathan Eovaldi vs SDP 3.8 runs: After being scratched yesterday with a sore knee, the 36yo is expected to start this afternoon. There is no reason for the Rangers to push him, though keep tabs for any late updates. The Friars do a good job of limiting strikeouts, but this is the lowest scoring team in the league, with sporadic power.
Chase Burns at NYY 4.3 runs: Strikeouts are the currency of the DFS realm and the projected New York lineup has 6 HKCs, while Burns has a 31.8 K% across 513 batters faced in The Show. He will need to avoid extra-base hits when runners are on board, but otherwise he is a strong selection for tournaments.
Dustin May at KCR 4.6 runs: Temps are in the 70s, but there is high humidity and a 12-15mph breeze to right. May is coming off a CSGO with 9 Ks, reaching that strikeout mark for the second consecutive game, on twin 101 pitch efforts. He has chanced his pitch mix, working more with his cutter and the results have been excellent. KC is banged up and missing several key bats.

MLB DFS Late Slate Top Stacks 6/21 ⚾️🎇
LAD vs RHP Brandon Young 5.5 runs: New dad Shohei Ohtani had a ninth inning HR last night, though the Dodgers still fell 3-2. Young has at least kept opposing power hitters in check, but his 16.5 K% is not going to do him any favors against the LA juggernaut offense. Feel free to mix and match any of the hitters in Dodger blue.
BAL at RHP Emmet Sheehan 4.0 runs: If the Batters of Birdland are able to get to Sheehan, they will then have to face a top bullpen. Still we could see duos and trios find success with a big inning, particularly those swinging the stick from the left side of the plate.
LAA at RHP Jack Perkins 4.7 runs: The 26yo is getting an opportunity to stick in the rotation with Luis Severino on the IL, though he is best suited as a multi-inning reliever. In his limited sample size of 347 batters faced, fellow righties have been able to get to him for power. Sadly Mike Trout and Jorge Soler are out, though that means more prominent lineup slots are open for discounted understudies.
ATH vs LHP Reid Detmers 4.9 runs: The A's got to Detmers for 8 ERs in 5.2 IP in a May matchup at Angels Stadium, though the southpaw has allowed just 5 "Ernies" in the subsequent five starts spanning 33 IP while racking up 39 Ks. Considering the 6-team player pool, this is a "both-sideser" (h/t TMcB) with the Athletics setting up well against lefties.
MLB DFS Late Slate Pitchers 6/21 ⚾️ 🚀 Logan Gilbert vs BOS 3.6 runs: The Red Sox
MLB DFS Late Slate Pitchers 6/21 ⚾️ 🚀
Logan Gilbert vs BOS 3.6 runs: The Red Sox are now tied with the Padres for the fewest runs in the league. Gilbert is having another strong season, though not quite at the lofty heights attained last year. He has allowed more than 3 runs in just three of his last 13 games, with two or fewer eight times in this stretch, with just over a strikeout per inning.
Payton Tolle at SEA 3.3 runs: Despite only 30 career innings at Triple-A, Tolle has been cruising in The Show, looking like a seasoned veteran. Getting a start in the most pitching friendly venue in the league, against a team best suited to face right-handed pitching and missing several key hitters is a perfect set up.
Emmet Sheehan vs BAL 4.0 runs: The Orioles tried to lose again last night, nearly blowing a 3-0 lead by allowing two runs in the bottom of the final frame. Adley Rutschman (concussion) landed on the IL, taking out a key left-handed batsmen, which is the main weakness for Sheehan.
Reid Detmers at ATH 4.9 runs: This is a tough spot for Detmers, in one of the most productive offensive parks in the league. There is strikeout upside in the projected A's lineup with six hitters having a 24+ K% against southpaws this season. He can also make his own magic at the plate with nearly a 30% combined K-rate over the last season plus, though he will need to avoid extra-base hits.
