MLB DFS Top Stacks & Top Pitchers: July 19, 2026

Top Stacks 7/19 ⚾️🎇

KCR vs RHP German Marquez 5.4 runs: After spending June in Triple-A, Marquez was recalled to backfill Lucas Giolito (arm) and Randy Vasquez (ankle), with Nick Pivetta (forearm) and Joe Musgrove (elbow) already out. The 31-year-olds Ks, BBs and HRs are near or above career worsts and his 5.18 ERA has amazingly been lucky. Temps will be in the 90s with 50%+ humidity, putting all of the Royals in play.

SDP at Noah Cameron 5.2 runs: The Friars have scored the fewest runs in the league this season. The 5-13 record over the last few weeks is likely to have the team folding up the tents as even a Wild Card ticket is unlikely. The trio at the top is still worthy of our attention with Fernando Tatis Jr. showing more pop, while Manny Machado and Ty France profile well against Marquez.

NYM at RHP Alan Rangel 4.8 runs: In his 19.1 IP this season, Rangel has a strong 22 Ks, though 9 ERs, 9 BBs and 18 hits portend for crooked numbers on the scoreboard. The #LOLMets worthy of our consideration have reasonable DK salaries, aside from the lofty $6.2k for Juan Soto, which should at least keep his popularity in somewhat check.

MIA at LHP Robert Gasser 4.3 runs: This is more of a hunch than anything else, but Gasser has been very hittable during his short time in The Show and the Marlins have been in the middle of the pack all season for run production, ranking in the top-7 over the last month. Hand-builders and sims alike are going to gloss over this motley crew, so focus on the top-four along with Esteury Ruiz (PH risk).

Pitchers 7/19 ⚾️ 🏖️

Paul Skenes at CLE 3.5 runs: More about the matchup against a weak offense than celebrating Skenes, who has slipped this season. He has 19+ DKFP in just 3 of his last 11 starts. Chase DeLauter and Travis Bazzana are the only worrisome bats.

Joey Cantillo vs PIT 3.7 runs: The Bucs have scored the second most runs in the league this season, though Cantillo still presents as a salary saver. There are four high-strikeout candidates (HKCs) in the projected lineup and Cantillo has 7+ Ks in 5 of his last 7 appearances, while also being effective against opposite-handed batsmen.

Nathan Eovaldi at ATL 4.2 runs: This is a strength on strength matchup and Eovaldi will have to mitigate the top four hitters, though the bottom of the lineup card is not overly daunting.

Sonny Gray vs TBR 4.1 runs: The Rays have lost 8 of 12, with three or fewer runs in half of those tilts. Gray continues to chug along in his 14th season, having allowed more than 3 "Ernies" once this season, back in mid-April. Tampa does not offer a plethora of strikeout potential, but the bottom of the order is ripe for three-up, three-down innings.

Late Slate Pitchers 7/19 ⚾️ 🚀

Logan Gilbert vs SFG 3.3 runs: The strikeout rate is finally pushing double digits per nine innings over the last five games and in these 34.1 innings, Gilbert has allowed only one home run, with a scant five walks. There are likely to be four high-strikeout candidates (HKCs) in the Giants lineup this afternoon and while there are no easy outs with the mostly healthy roster, there are few truly formidable bats, particularly in pitching friendly T-Mobile Park.

Casey Mize at LAA 4.3 runs: This has been an excellent campaign for Mize, who has allowed only 5 HRs in 77.1 IP with a 2.79 ERA supported by a 3.08 xERA and 3.73 FIP. Getting to pitch after LHP Tarik Skubal is a real advantage the first time through the order as opposing hitters acclimate to a righty and the Angels are likely to have 5-6 HKCs in the lineup this afternoon.

Robbie Ray at SEA 4.2 runs: Even with Julio Rodriguez (concussion) back, the M's do not set up well against southpaws. Ray's strikeout rate is at a 12-year low and his walks are pushing 4.4 per nine innings, but he still does a solid job of run prevention and he is a reasonable SP2 on DK and a tournament option on FD for those feeling bold.

Late Slate Top Stacks 7/19 ⚾️🎇

WAS at LHP Jacob Lopez 6.0 runs: Lopez and friends will get a chance to bid the Nationals farewell this afternoon as the teams look to win the rubber match, having combined for a ridiculous 43 runs in the last two days. Andres Chaparro and Jacob Young are pinch-hit risks when a righty reliever enters the fray, but otherwise it is full steam ahead with anyone on the Washington lineup card.

DET at RHP Ryan Johnson 5.4 runs: Lefties are a problem for Johnson, who should see 5-to-6 this afternoon from the Motor City Kitties. The Los Angeles bullpen is middling at best, though they are at least rested after the All-Star break. Kerry Carpenter could hit the bench if a southpaw comes out of the bullpen, though he is still a strong click along with the rest of the top-six.

STL at LHP Eduardo Rodriguez 4.5 runs: The clock is going to strike midnight at some point for E-Rod, who has a pristine 2.29 ERA, but a scary 5.07 xERA. His .247 BABIP and 87.8 LOB% rate are clearly outliers, so do not be shy about feathering in the Cardinals across tournament lineups.

ATH vs LHP Foster Griffin 5.1 runs: Shout out to Griffin who was named to his first All-Star squad, after washing out of the league in 2022 and spending three seasons in Japan, reinventing himself. He has allowed only one run in each of his last seven appearances and while the A's are dealing with a lot of injuries, the music is going to stop at some point for the 30-year-old, leading to a mound meltdown.
