Top Stacks 7/20 ⚾️🎇

DET at RHP Jameson Taillon 5.9 runs: Having missed the last five weeks with a hamstring injury, Taillon notched 45 and 53 pitches in his two MiLB outings. It would be a surprise to see him above the 70-75 pitch range, and the soon to be 35 year old is at risk of being chased before that mark. If Mother Nature cooperates, the Motor City Kitties are a fine pivot away from the Coors Field Extravaganza which will be well represented in tournaments.

ARZ vs LHP Jeffrey Springs 5.2 runs: Springs survived on the road last year, though pitching away from Sutter Health Park has not saved him this season. He has allowed one fewer road HR than last year, against 178 fewer batsmen. Ketel Marte and Gabriel Moreno are the priority plays, with Nolan Arenado getting some love and an honorable mention for Ildemaro Vargas.

SFG at RHP Michael Wacha 5.4 runs: Heading into his second ASG (with his first being back in 2015), Wacha suffered 10 runs in 10.2 IP with 4 HRs, 4 BBs and a surprising 12 Ks. After spending the last 10 games at home or in SEA, the Giants get a veritable hitter's paradise tonight. Rafael Devers, Casey Schmitt, Willy Adames, Luis Arraez, Bryce Eldridge and Heliot Ramos are all viable clicks.

KCR vs RHP Trevor McDonald 5.4 runs: The Royals were gobsmacked yesterday by the Padres, so ideally the team is focused tonight. Bobby Witt Jr. and Vincent Pasquantino got the day off, but are expected to be in the heart of the order. Add in Carter Jenson, Jack Caglianone and Lane Thomas for a variety of stacking combinations.

Pitchers 7/20 ⚾️💪

Dylan Cease vs TBR 3.5 runs: This is a key series for the AL East as Tampa is leading the division via smoke-and-mirrors. We should not be surprised as that is a hallmark of this franchise, but it is a precarious position to maintain. Despite finishing 2nd and 4th in Cy Young voting, this was Cease's first All-Star Game appearance. His walk rate is at a six-year high with 4 per nine innings, but he also has a personal best 13.6 K/9 and he has mostly avoided the long ball this season. The Rays should have at least three high-strikeout candidates (HKCs) in the lineup tonight and the bottom of the order is bereft of power.

Jacob Misiorowski vs NYM 3.1 runs: The lofty salary for Misiorowski on a Coors Field slate does make things interesting. He is coming off extended rest, having last pitched on July 7th. He leads the league in Ks, K/9, ERA, WHIP, FIP, ERA+ and is among the top five in several other categories. The #LOLMets are a below average strikeout squad against RHPs, but Misiorowski is the apex predator.

George Kirby vs CIN 3.6 runs: Though the Reds have averaged nearly 10% more runs per game than at home, T-Mobile Park is the most extreme pitching venue in the league. Kirby is among the league leaders in hits, but he remains stingy with walks and power. There should be four HKCs in the lineup, giving Kirby access to K-upside.

Paxton Tolle vs BAL 4.0 runs: It is never fun going against the O's, though Tolle has flashed K-potential and there should be 4-5 HKCs in tonight's lineup, making him a fine SP2 on DK.

Ryan Weathers vs PIT 3.8 runs: Weathers has K-upside and a palatable DK salary, with the Bucs better suited to face righties.
