Pitchers 7/31 ⚾️💪

Dylan Cease vs STL 3.4 runs: Cease is the Cadillac option for Friday, against the Redbirds who have a barren wasteland comprising the back half of the lineup card. There on are only two high-strikeout candidates (HKCs) though Cease has been extraordinary at making his own magic at the plate with a career-high 36.7 K% this season, leading the league with 13.3 K/9 IP.

Hunter Brown vs TEX 3.9 runs: While Brown did not have any walks in his last outing, he had 22 in the preceding six across 29.2 IP after his long injury layoffs. His Ks have been down as well, though he is back to a full workload. Corey Seager (back) is close to a return, which is a boost for the Rangers. Even with all the preceding data taken into account, Brown looks like a top-three pitcher tonight from a baseline viewpoint.

Nathan Eovaldi at HOU 4.0 runs: The extra day of rest as Texas gears up for the stretch run with a half game lead over the 'Stros in the AL West is helpful. Houston has 4 HKCs in the projected lineup, but the top-6 is fierce, led by Yordan Alvarez, who is flirting with the Triple Crown. Eovaldi will need to cash in on the bottom-third of the order.

Shane Drohan at LAA 4.2 runs: The Halos have 5 HKCs in the projected lineup and if Drohan can survive the mostly right-handed onslaught, he should be in the mix as the best fantasy point per dollar SP2 on DK ($7.7k). Savvy gamers will also have a hedge stack or two for the direct leverage against the field.

Bryce Miller vs MIN 3.6 runs: Though 2 of his last 3 starts have been shaky, T-Mobile Park and wirling trade rumors with Byron Buxton and Ryan Jeffers are advantageous.

DET at LHP Jeffrey Springs 6.2 runs: There will be similar temperatures in West Sacramento as the Motor City Kitties actually surpass KCR@COL as the priority stack. Trades are more likely than not for Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize, though that does not impact the bats. Focus on the RHBs and do not lose sight of Spencer Torkelson, Matt Vierling and Javier Baez as a differentiation stack from the bottom of the order on the late-slate.

ATH vs DET Bullpen 5.2 runs: Nick Kurtz left early Wednesday after taking a pitch off his left forearm, though he was back in the leadoff slot last night (0-4, 1 BB, 2 Ks). He is the priority play, followed by switch-hitting catcher Jonah Heim, who has been pressed into the cleanup role with all the other injuries to the A's. Tyler Sodertrom, Carlos Cortes and Jacob WIlson are in the mix for full stacks, while Donovan Walton is a differentiation play for the nightcap action.

MIL at RHP Ryan Johnson 5.3 runs: The Brew Crew continues to pile up runs with the sum of the offense greater than the individual parts. The top-7 are all in play, providing a variety of options at various salary levels and positions.
