Pitchers 8/2 ⚾️💪
Chase Burns vs PIT 4.0 runs: Ryan O'Hearn has now joined Oneil Cruz and Spencer Horwitz on the IL, taking a key hitter out of the lineup. There is some precipitation risk, though with their budding ace on the mound, the Reds will be looking for the most advantageous start time. The Bucs have four high-strikeout candidates in the projected lineup, including three in the top four which mitigates offensive friendly Great American SMALLpark for DFS purposes.
Zack Wheeler at BAL 3.7 runs: There is a chance of rain, though it looks like there is a game window from the early forecast. Wheeler is coming off a rough start @MIA, though that should not dissuade his supporters this afternoon with the O's expected to have 5 HKCs in the lineup and the apex ace clearing on a mission to propel the Phillies to the postseason.
Gerrit Cole at CHC 3.2 runs: Once again there are 20mph winds in from left-center, which should allow Cole the luxury of challenging hitters at the plate. The Cubbies typically have 3 HKCs in the top-5, giving Cole access to upside. Colin Rea is the SP2 punt du jour on DK ($5.5k).
Gavin Williams vs ARZ 3.9 runs: There is real risk of a lengthy delay, so we will need to keep tabs on this game. The D'Bscks put out a lineup that has a minuscule 17.1% combined K-rate against RHPs this season, making it a tough row for Williams to hoe this afternoon,
FanDuel has included the two games in the 3 o'clock hour, which means Jacob Misiorowski ($12.1k) is a real decision point, with gamers looking to earmark funds for the Coors Field Extravaganza.
Top Stacks 8/2 ⚾️🎇
FanDuel is including the two games in the 3 o'clock hour which means a very different set of priorities with a speedy Jacob Misiorowksi and the Coors Field Extravaganza. Adjust accordingly.
MIA at RHP Robert Stock 4.8runs: Stock is a persistent baseball nomad and while he is heading towards his 37th birthday and has been away from The Show since 2022, aside from a 2.2 IP cup of coffee with BOS last year. Since washing out, he has played in the KBO as well as the Mexican and Independent leagues. The Marlins have a variety of LHBs in the top-6, along with Otto Lopez, plus likely punt catcher Joe Mack at the bottom of the order. This is a tremendous fill-in stack, covering a myriad of positions at reasonable salaries.
WAS at RHP JR Ritchie 4.5 runs: Fire up the Nats LHBs against Ritchie, who is a gas can waiting for a match.
TOR vs LHP Matthew Liberatore 4.7 runs: While the Jays are at the bottom of the league for runs scored, the RHBs in the top-5 profile well against Liberatore.
CIN vs RHP Mitch Keller 4.7 runs: Keller is a friend to all LHBs, which bodes well for the Reds, with our focus on the top-5, particularly with Elly De La Cruz, JJ Bleday and Nate Lowe.
Other one-offs/mini-stacks: HOU: Yordan Alvarez, Christian Walker, Taylor Trammell. TBR: Junior Caminero, Yandy Diaz, Ryan Vilade.
