Pitchers 8/11 ⚾️💪
Sean Burke vs CIN 3.7runs: Burke looks like a younger, bigger version of former ChiSox ace RHP Dylan Cease, though without the same prospect pedigree. He is wildly intriguing on DK ($8.5k, 33%) as either an SP2 or a staff ace. It is more of a decision on FD ($9.8k, 15%), though for tournaments that feels light compared to Cease ($11.0k, 40%). The 26yo has 8+ Ks in 6 of his last 9 starts, including a trio of double-digit efforts. The projected Cinci lineup has five high-strikeout candidates (HKCs), while Cease is likely to see only 2-3 against the BoSox team of destiny. Let personal preference be your ultimate guide.
Ryan Weathers vs SEA 4.0 runs: The M's have been surpassed by the Blue Jays and now have the lowest scoring offense in the league. They also set up better against righties, so the Yankee Stadium park upgrade is essentially offset. The bottom third of the lineup, including slumping Cal Raleigh is a potential 3-up, 3-down goldmine.
Hunter Brown at SFG 3.5 runs: Favorable park and a lineup thinned out by trades makes Brown a fun click for tournaments tonight.
Cristopher Sanchez at STL 3.8 runs: Sanchez is essentially matchup proof, though he is likely to fall short of Misiorowski/Sale for the NL Cy Young Award. The Phillies are well positioned for a win, though the Redbirds projected lineup has a scant 16.2 K% against southpaws this season.
Blake Snell vs KCR 3.6 runs: Tread lightly with Snell (elbow) who has missed three months and is likely on a 4-5 IP or 70ish pitch limit. His MiLB rehabilitation progression was 32, 49. 60 and 73 pitches in his three-week ramp-up.
Top Stacks 8/11 ⚾️🎇
Sutter Health Park was a DFS motherlode last night with 16 runs. The Rays profile well against RHP Mason Barrett, though it will be interesting to see how RHP Nick Martinez survives in the MiLB park with his fly ball luck and ridiculous 86 LOB% being put to the test.
TEX at RHP Ryan Johnson 5.2 runs: Having a fully healthy Rangers squad is crucial and the top-6 profile well against RHP Ryan Johnson who is on a three steps forward, two steps back portion of his learning curve.
ARZ vs RHP Tomoyuki Sugano 5.3 runs: The former NPB veteran has allowed HRs in 16 of 20 starts and both his ERA and triple-slash line are actually higher away from Coors Field by a touch. Pretty much anyone on the D'Backs lineup card is in play, though be aware that Geraldo Perdomo (knee) left early last night, feeling the effects of tweaking things running to first base on Sunday.
BAL at RHP Bailey Ober 4.9 runs: The O's have more than five runs only once in the last nine games, with one or fewer five times in this stretch. Still, the LHBs are a fine mini-stack against Ober in the mid-80s temperatures.
COL at LHP Mitch Bratt 4.3 runs: Do not be too worried about Bratt's gem against SDP last week. He is a low-end prospect, with walk issues and even though we tend to dismiss the Rockies on the road, salaries are a thing and the top-6 can be employed as a mini-stack that provides cap relief.
