Top Stacks 8/14 ⚾️🎇
TEX at LHP Gage Jump 5.0 runs: Jump should get his Ks tonight with 49 in his last 8 games, across 37.1 IP. He also has 23 BBs and 30 runs in this timeframe, along with 7 HRs and 15 DBLs. Only Wyatt Langford and Corey Seager are projected for double-digit rostership at a reasonable 13% on the main DFS sites.
ATH vs RHP Kumar Rocker 4.8 runs: In his last five starts, Rocker has 29 Ks, which is surprising for him, but he also has 10 BBs and 7 HRs in these 26.2 IP. Tyler Soderstrom is going to be a popular one-off and it would not be a surprise to see him tick above 15% in tournaments, but the rest of the injury riddled A's appear to be afterthoughts. Savvy Gamers will want to feather in this motley crew as mini-stacks across the board, with Jef McNeil ($3.2k), Carlos Cortes ($3.5k) and Lawrence Butler ($3.7k) particularly appealing on DK.
KCR at RHP Grayson Rodriguez 4.5 runs: G-Rod has had decent DFS results over his last three games, though 8 runs and 7 BBs are being hidden in the game logs by 20Ks. Bobby Witt Jr., Jack Caglianone and Carter Jensen are the trio to target, with Salvador Perez and John Rave moving into prominence on the 4-game late-slate.
NYY at RHP Shane Bieber 4.5 runs: The Biebs has been roughed up with 10 ERs in his last 12 IP, with 11 BBs and 10 Ks offsetting each other in this trio of tilts. Fire up the lefties through Ryan McMahon in tournaments.
Pitchers 8/14 ⚾️💪
Gavin Williams vs SDP 3.6 runs: The top half of the Padres offense has had success against southpaws over the last month, though Williams in turn has an unfathomable 45.1 K% in the same stretch. There is only one high-strikeout candidate (HKCs) in the projected lineup, though considering that Williams has 8 double-digit strikeout games this season, including five of his last six, he carries a lot of DFS appeal.
Landen Roupp vs COL 3.7 runs: Salary saving SP2 on DK ($7.5k) facing the Rockies on the road, with a trio of HKCs giving upside as Roupp has just enough strikeout potential to make his backers happy.
Chris Sale vs ARZ 3.5 runs: The venerable veteran will have to deal with a righty-laden lineup, though the final four on the card are where he can make up ground. Sale is in good form with an 11.7 K/9 rate over his last 11 appearances.
Gage Jump vs TEX 4.9 runs: This is all about the K-upside as a DK SP2 ($7.0k) in tournaments. The Rangers project to have half a dozen HKCs taking the field tonight, which could aid Jump in reaching his boom (19+ DKPF in four of the last six) instead of a bust (two sub-1 DKFP efforts in the same timeframe).
Kyle Freeland at SFG 4.0 runs: Dreadful regardless of pitching venue, the back half of the Giants order is well below replacement level. DK-only ($5.5k).
Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs MIL 3.4 runs: Tough matchup as the Brew Crew battles the Dodgers for the best record in the NL and home field advantage. Brice Turang (knee) is day-to-day, plus there are 4 HKCs expected to start. Yamamoto is probably the "safest" pitcher, though FP/$ ratio is below Freeland and Grayson Rodriguez.
