Pitchers 8/28 ⚾️💪

Dylan Cease vs SEA 3.3 runs: The two lowest scoring teams in the league are facing off on the shores of Lake Ontario this evening. Cease is a tick behind Jacob Misorowski (13.2) with his 13.0 K/9 rate, which is a career high and while his 3.99 BB/9 is edging towards the red, the personal best 0.56 HR/9 have kept the overall damage to a minimum. This is a massive series for both teams as they scramble for limited playoff berths.

Reid Detmers vs PHI 4.4 runs: This is a matchup fraught with peril, though the regulars at the top of the order aside from Bryce Harper have scuffled against southpaws over the last month. The addition of Luis Arraez also lowers the overall strikeout rate for the starting nine and there are only three high strikeout candidates (HKCs) in the projected lineup. Detmers makes his own magic at the plate with a 28.5 K% and he is an intriguing SP2 on DK ($8.8k) with his palatable cap hit.

Logan Harrison vs TEX 3.4 runs: The Rangers have scored the second fewest runs in the league over the last 30 days and Henderson should see 4-5 HKCs giving him access to DFS production. That is key since he has a hefty salary, though we should get 90-95 pitches and the Brewers are -170 ML home favorites to garner the win.

Jacob Lopez vs BAL 5.5 runs: This is not for the faint of heart, though the price is right for a DK($6.7k) SP2 and the O's are likely to have 6-8 HKCs in the lineup. Lopez has allowed only 11 runs in his last 8 outings, including four at home. In this stretch he has 48 Ks in 40.1 IP and is worth a gamble for tournament upside. To be clear, this is a "both-sideser" with the RHBs with pop all in play.

Top Stacks 8/28 ⚾️🎇

ATL vs RHP Tomoyuki Sugano 5.3 runs: Since joining The Show last year with BAL, Sugano has allowed LHBs a .267 ISO, which is well above any other pitcher with at least 600 batters faced with the platoon-advantage. The Braves are loaded with LHBs that don't strike out, making them the key countermove against those stacking the pending Sutter Health Park score-fest.

MIN vs RHP Luis Castillo 4.7 runs: Interestingly enough, Castillo ranks fifth on the ISO list and he had pitching friendly T-Mobile Park as his base of operations before landing with the ChiSox. The Twins also have ample lefties and while the power is not as pronounced across the board as Atlanta's crew, the Minnesota batsmen are similarly disciplined at the dish.

MIL vs LHP Cody Bradford 4.4 runs: The Brew Crew targets are easy to isolate when they are facing a southpaw, since it gets consolidated down to Jackson Chourio, Andrew Vaughn, William Contreras and Gary Sanchez. "The Sanchize" has first base eligibly on DK, so we are able to roster both he and Contreras. Bradford was a low-end prospect, who missed 2025 with elbow surgery and he is backed by an overworked bullpen that has had to clean up for Kumar Rocker and Cal Quantrill already this week.
