Pitchers 9/4 ⚾️💪

Blake Snell vs WAS 3.3 runs: In his four games after a three month absence, Snell has worked up to a high of 99 pitches, while also posting a pair of 10 strikeout performances. The Nationals should have at least four high-strikeout candidates (HKCs) in the lineup, with three hitters over 30 K% against southpaws this season. The lofty salary does not appear to be dissuading gamers from hoping to take the Snellevator to the top of the DFS leaderboard.

Logan Gilbert vs ATH 3.2 runs: The 15%ish discount from Snell and lack of another clear cut hurler has Gilbert checking in as the second most popular pitcher across the main DFS sites. The M's are in a free fall having lost 6 of the last 8 games and they need their stopper to keep the injury decimated A's in check to hold any hope of staving off postseason elimination through the holiday weekend.

Nolan McLean vs SFG 3.8 runs: The rookie gets a great matchup against a shallow San Francisco squad. He carries a lofty salary that is not capturing his decreased strikeout rate, which has him with just 16 Ks in the last 25 IP. There should be 5 HKCs populating the Giants lineup card, so there is attainable DFS production, plus the Mets are nearly 2-to-1 home favorites to garner the win.

Shota Imanaga at MIA 3.7 runs: After his second-worst start of the Aston against CIN in the Wrigley Field wind, this is a get right spot for the enigmatic ace. The Marlins are pesky against southpaws, though they should have 4-5 HKCs in the lineup, which keeps Imanaga on the DK short list, though still mostly an afterthought on FD.

Top Stacks 9/4 ⚾️🎇

There is. a 25% probability that tonight's Coors Field Extravaganza produces the top stack with an 8-11mph breeze to left and temperatures in the mid-80s. Secondary and tertiary targets can be had on the cheap, while still allowing gamers to choose a bucks-deluxe pitcher.

KCR vs RHP Jameson Taillon 5.1 runs: Taillon (sore forearm) is scheduled to start tonight, making his third appearance for TOR. In his last four healthy appearances, eh has allowed 14 ER, half a dozen round-trippers and nine walks in only 16.1 IP. Feel free to mix and match anyone and everyone from the Royals, with the mercury sitting in the low-90s at first pitch and a light breeze out to left field.

MIN at RHP Erick Fedde 4.6 runs: We just saw this matchup @MIN and Fedde held serve, though lightening is unlikely to strike twice in favor of the mediocre at best veteran righty. LHBs are the preference from the Twins, though Ryan Jeffers is a strong catcher option on DK, plus any of the other RHBs with pop are worthy of consideration to maximize stacking synergy

TBR at RHP Kumar Rocker 4.5 runs: Expectations are that RHP Trent Williams will start, with Rocker as the bulk. Willams was claimed off waivers after the Nationals released him at the end of August and we should not forget that the 34-year-old led the league in home runs allowed back in 2022. Rocker has had some uncharacteristic strikeout success in his last two starts, though the Rays top-6 all have promising profiles against his pitch portfolio.
