Pitchers 9/11 ⚾️💪

Blake Snell at MIA 3.5 runs: In his five starts after a long layoff, Snell has averaged 93.4 pitches with a whopping 38 Ks in 29 IP while allowing just three runs. The Marlins have five high-strikeout candidates in the projected lineup, which makes this an easy recommendation when factoring in the -210 ML odds for the Dodgers to garner the victory.

Chris Sale vs PHI 3.4 runs: This is a tough stretch for Sale who records a CSGO against the Dodgers two starts ago and he followed that up @PHI with a quality start and 7 Ks. This will be the fourth time he has faced the Phillies this season, with the other two being in late-April, when he also had back-to-back starts against them, posting 16 Ks in 13 IP with just one run allowed. The 37-year-old southpaw is posting similar metrics to his 2024 Cy Young Award winning season, which is downright impressive. There is no salary relief here and the venerable veteran will have to earn his keep between the lines, but he still profiles better than the rest of Friday's options.

Drew Rasmussen vs HOU 3.5 runs: Tampa's ace keeps chugging along, carrying the load without Shane McClanahan. Aside from hitting savant Yordan Alvarez, the 'Stros do not have many worrisome LHBs, so Rasmussen will hold the platoon-advantage over the bulk of the lineup.

Parker Messick at MIN 3.9 runs: This has been a fine season for Messick, though the Twins do not have many easy strikeouts in their lineup for lefties and while the bottom-third of the order has zero power, they have made opposing pitchers work for their outs. The five-figure salary is a daunting hurdle for the southpaw to clear on both DK and FD.

Top Stacks 9/11 ⚾️🎇

ARZ vs RHP Kumar Rocker 4.9 runs: The Chase Field Roof remains closed, but even the humidor cannot save Rocker from his walk issues. In his most recent start he did not have any, for just the second time all season, though he has 2+ in 8 of his last 10 appearances and 23 total in these 50.1 frames. To his credit, he has 53 Ks in this stretch, but there is not a lot of consistency as evidenced by a trio of efforts in the timeframe with three or fewer whiffs. Corbin Carroll (back) is expected to be available tonight, which adds to the Arizona appeal.

SEA at LHP Jeffrey Springs 5.8 runs: On Saturday, Springs held the M's scoreless across seven frames, lowering his ERA from 6.37 to 6.02. Even with Seattle's overall lack of consistent righties, the oddsmakers have the team total pushing towards six in Sutter Health Park. Cal Raleigh and Randy Arozarena are locked in against southpaws right now, though the rest of the lineup is a grab bag, though still worthy of our attention.

BOS vs RHP Seth Lugo 4.9 runs: Lugo has looked every bit of a 36-year-old, giving up 5+ runs in 4 of his last 7 outings. He has ceded only a trio of taters in this stretch, though just 23 Ks in 35.1 IP is not helping his cause. Fire up the top four BoSox, with any LHBs outside that quartet the secondary wave of selections.

TEX at RHP Merrill Kelly 4.8 runs: Do not let the two recent quality starts fool you, the soon-to-be-38 year-old has handed out 22 free passes in his last 38.1 IP, with just 28 Ks. Focus on the LHBs in the top-six, with RHBs Ezequiel Duran and Wyatt Langford honorable mentions.
