Week 14 CFB DFS Picks: Donovan Edwards Likely to Get Increased Role

Week 14 is here, and the schedule has condensed, with good games scattered throughout the CFB DFS slate. There are eight games kicking off between 12 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.

With only eight games in play and less teams playing against inferior competition, there are still plenty of strong CBB DFS picks at all positions. This article will provide NCAAF DFS picks and lineup advice for the DraftKings slate on Dec. 3 that locks at 12 p.m. ET.

CFB DFS Picks: Week 14 Saturday CFB Picks

Quarterback

Drake Maye, North Carolina ($8,500)

Our top projected quarterback on the slate for CFB DFS picks, Maye will look to bounce back after back-to-back subpar performances against North Carolina State and Georgia Tech. A staple in this article for much of the season, Maye is averaging a robust 33.9 DraftKings points per game, and he remains one of the top signal-callers in the nation. Matched up with a Clemson defense that ranks only 211th in the country against opposing quarterbacks, Maye is the top quarterback on the slate and a building block in all formats.

Other Quarterbacks: Max Duggan, TCU ($8,100); DJ Uiagalelei, Clemson ($7,300); Dequan Finn, Toledo ($6,700); Will Howard, Kansas State ($6,300); CJ Harris, Ohio ($5,500)

Running Backs

Tyjae Spears, Tulane ($6,700)

Another staple of this article for much of the year, Spears is once against a great look on Saturday at $6,700. Our second-highest projected running back on the slate, behind only Donovan Edwards, Spears is coming off back-to-back monster performances in which he put up a combined 80.4 DraftKings points. 48 carries for 302 yards and five total touchdowns over the past two weeks, Spears finds himself in another really good spot on Saturday matched up with a Central Florida defense that ranks 243rd in the country against opposing running backs. Way too cheap at $6.7K, Spears is cog in our machine in both cash games and GPP’s.

Donovan Edwards, Michigan ($6,400)

Probably the top overall play on the slate, Edwards looks like a lock in all formats at $6,400. With Blake Corum only getting two carries last week, Edwards broke out against Ohio State, rushing for 216 yards and two touchdowns on 22 attempts against the Buckeyes. With Corum expected to undergo left knee surgery in the near future and miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season, Edwards is now the lead back in Michigan’s offense and we have him projected to be the highest scoring running back on the slate. Still priced like a backup at $6.4K, Edwards is easily the top value play on the slate, and he’s a true fade at your own risk type if you aren’t playing him.

Other Running Backs: Deuce Vaughn, Kansas State ($7,200); Will Shipley, Clemson ($6,800); Kendre Miller, TCU ($6,600); Devin Mockobee, Purdue ($6,100); Kimani Vidal, Troy ($5,700); DK Billingsley, Troy ($3,700)

Wide Receivers

Josh Downs, North Carolina ($7,600)

The highest projected wideout in CFB DFS picks, Downs looks great in all formats at $7,600. With both Spears and Edwards both under $7K, Downs’ $7,600 price tag is easily affordable, and he’s easily the top player to pair with quarterback Drake Maye. One of the top receivers in college football, Downs is averaging 25.7 DraftKings points per game, and he’s in a really good spot matched up with a Clemson secondary that ranks 322nd in the country against opposing No. 1 wideouts. Elite upside at an affordable price point, Downs looks like a core play in all formats.

Charlie Jones, Purdue ($7,400)

Also averaging 25.7 DraftKings points per game, Jones has been phenomenal for Purdue this year, and he’s an elite play on Saturday at $7,400. In a sneaky good spot matched up with a Michigan secondary that ranks 263rd in the country against opposing No. 1 wide receivers, Jones should be encouraged by the 28.0 DraftKings points Marvin Harrison Jr. put up against the Wolverines last Saturday. While Purdue’s offense isn’t quite as lethal as Ohio State’s, Jones is quarterback Aidan O’Connell’s clear top target, and in a game the Boilermakers will probably be throwing a lot, Jones is another building block type across all formats.

Other Wide Receivers: Jalen Moreno-Cropper, Fresno State ($7,000); Antoine Green, North Carolina ($6,600); Tez Johnson, Troy ($6,300); Antonio Williams, Clemson ($5,700); Malik Knowles, Kansas State ($5,400); Shae Wyatt, Tulane ($5,300); Jerjuan Newton, Toledo ($5,000); Phillip Brooks, Kansas State ($4,900); RaJae’ Johnson, Troy ($4,500); Deshon Stoudemire, Troy ($3,500)
