CFB Week 6 DFS Picks: Spencer Sanders & Bijan Robinson Are the Top High-Priced Plays for Saturday (October 8)

Week 6 is here, and the schedule continues to pick up, with good games scattered throughout the slate. There are 14 games kicking off between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET, with some really good matchups all over the board.

Fourteen games make this the largest college football slate of the season on DraftKings so far, and with that many games in play and some teams still playing against inferior competition, there are plenty of strong CBB DFS picks at all positions and some potentially lopsided scores across the board. This article will provide NCAAF DFS picks and lineup advice for the DraftKings slate on Oct. 8 that locks at 12 p.m. ET.

College Football DFS: Week 5 Saturday CFB Picks

Quarterback

Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State ($8,000)

Projected to be the highest-scoring player on the slate at any position, Sanders is great in all formats at a very affordable $8,000 price tag. He is averaging a robust 32.8 DraftKings points per game and has at least 24 in all four of Oklahoma State’s contests. He’s in another great spot this week as the Cowboys host Texas Tech in Stillwater. Last week in this exact same spot against the Red Raiders, Adrian Martinez projected as the highest-scoring quarterback of the day, and he put up 46.74 DraftKings points. While expecting Sanders to match Martinez would be silly, he has one of the best floor/ceiling combinations on the slate.

Jalon Daniels, Kansas ($6,900)

College Gameday is in Lawrence for the first time ever this weekend, as both the 5-0 Jayhawks and 4-0 Horned Frogs look to continue their perfect seasons. There’s a lot to like on both sides of this game, but Daniels stands out as the top guy in all formats at a really cheap $6,900 price tag. Coming off by far his worst game of the season, Daniels rushed for only 9 yards and passed for just 93 more last week as Iowa State held him in check. Despite those 10.6 DraftKings points, Daniels is still averaging 30.2 points per game. He’s a risky fade in both cash games and tournaments against a TCU defense that has struggled against the run.

Other Quarterbacks: C.J. Stroud, Ohio State ($9,200); Michael Penix Jr., Washington ($8,500); Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA ($7,800); Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland ($6,700)

Running Backs

Bijan Robinson, Texas ($9,000)

Robinson is averaging 28.5 DraftKings points per game and dropped below 22 in any of Texas’ first five games. Facing an Oklahoma defense that gives up almost 200 yards rushing per game, Robinson couldn’t ask to be in a better spot, as the Longhorns are favorites against the Sooners for the first time since Vince Young won them a title in 2006. Robinson has been especially dynamic recently, as he has rushed for over 100 yards in three straight games and has scored a touchdown each week. He has elite upside to go along with one of the best floors in college football.

Zach Charbonnet, UCLA ($6,800)

Charbonnet is one of the better value plays on the entire slate. He had at least 30 DraftKings points in back-to-back games, and UCLA is 10-0 all time when he rushes for over 100 yards. While there are plenty of other solid running back plays on Saturday, Charbonnet is projected to be the fourth-highest-scoring running back on the slate, and he’s too cheap at $6,800.

Other Running Backs: Tavion Thomas, Utah ($8,400); Blake Corum, Michigan ($7,900); Quinshon Judkins, Mississippi ($6,400); Micah Bernard, Utah ($4,900); Josh Williams, LSU ($3,000)

Wide Receivers

Charlie Jones, Purdue ($7,000)

Jones is the highest-projected wide receiver on the board, averaging 31.2 DraftKings points through Purdue’s first five games. Coming off by far his worst game of the season, Jones finds himself in an enviable bounce-back spot as Purdue heads to Maryland in a game that should have a ton of points. With quarterback Aidan O’Connell presumably healthier than he was last week, Jones should feast in a what sets up as a faster-paced game.

Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State ($6,700)

Even with teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba on pace to play this week, Egbuka looks like one of the top options at any position. He has 30 catches for 512 yards this season and has been huge for quarterback C.J. Stroud, grabbing at least one touchdown in four of five games. Egbuka’s five touchdowns rank 13th in the country, and he’s 10th nationally in yards receiving per game, averaging 102.4. His 25.6 DraftKings points per game are more in line with someone in the $8,000 range as opposed to the $6,700 DraftKings decided to price him this week.

Other Wide Receivers: Rome Odunze, Washington ($7,200); Jalen McMillan, Washington ($6,200); Braydon Johnson, Oklahoma State ($5,600); Jayden Reed, Michigan State ($4,900); Ramel Keyton, Tennessee ($3,800)
