Best NASCAR Richmond DFS Tournament & GPP Picks | DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Racing

After our first road course of the season last week at COTA, NASCAR heads to it’s first real short track of the season for 400 laps around Richmond Raceway. This will be the most laps in a race we have seen so far this season so learning how to approach this from a GPP perspective will be crucial when constructing NASCAR DFS lineups this weekend for tournaments. With the starting grid set for today’s Toyota Owners 400, let’s dive into some of the best NASCAR DFS picks today for tournaments and GPPS to help us gain leverage on the field and climb the leaderboards on Sunday!

NASCAR DFS GPP Picks Today: Toyota Owners 400

For the most part this season, it feels us Fantasy NASCAR players have been chasing place differential points for the majority of the season. That will change this week as we have nearly 300 total dominator points available to us. Making place differential not as important as it has been in recent weeks. Finding drivers than can lead laps and accumulate fast laps will be the best way to take down tournaments this weekend.

Top Driver Picks & Projections

Martin Truex Jr $9,600 DraftKings/$14,000 FanDuel (6th) – Not that Truex will be forgotten about on Sunday, but with the way qualifying broke down he doesn’t look to be the stone cold chalk at first look. And that could be a huge advantage to NASCAR DFS tournament players as Truex has absolutely dominated this track in the past and is exceptional at short tracks. The Toyota’s haven’t been great this year, but they were fast in practice and Truex always seems to be fast in the paint scheme he is running.

Joey Logano $9,200 DraftKings / $12,000 FanDuel (11th) – A real nice price point on Logano who has been a staple at short flats over the past couple of years and posted a top 10 finish at Phoenix earlier in the season in addition to his win at the LA Coliseum. His teammate Ryan Blaney was blazing fast in practice and Joey wasn’t too bad himself. His starting spot leaves upside with his place differential compared to other dominators.

Mid-Range Driver Picks & Projections

Christopher Bell $8,700 DraftKings / $9,000 FanDuel (9th) – Bell is priced in between some heavily talked about drivers this weekend so this high price tag he got this weekend will hopefully keep people off of him when they build their lineups. This would be a mistake however, as Bell crushes short flat tracks and showed a ton of speed in practice. The JGR cars look strong this weekend and Bell should contend for a top 5 finish.

Kevin Harvick $8,000 DraftKings / $8,500 FanDuel (7th) – Harvick hasn’t been the same since a few years ago, but he seems to have found some new life and was very fast at the other short flat track we’ve been to earlier this season in Phoenix. He ran a long run in practice and the car seemed fast, which gives me confidence heading into Sunday. Look for him to be a potential secondary dominator as well as a top 5 contender.

NASCAR Driver Value Picks & Projection

Erik Jones $7,600 DraftKings / $6,500 FanDuel (5th) – High risk play here, but if it’s anything like AutoClub we know Jones has the ability to have even though on paper it doesn’t feel great. He posted strong practice times and was competed at short flats since last season. I currently view him as a better play over on Fanduel compared to DraftKings as losing spots won’t be as much of a detriment to him over there.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr $6,500 DraftKings / $6,300 FanDuel (32nd) – If you have rostered Stenhouse for the past month, it has not been a fun time for fantasy purposes. But he keeps starting in the back and at some point he’s gonna have a clean solid race. Plus, the price keeps getting cheaper and cheaper so he doesn’t have to do much to pay off this price point. He also is a regular inside the top 20 here at Richmond.
