LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL + LCK Slate Breakdown

LIIV SANDBOX

LSB had one area they really needed to find an improvement in the off-season in the ADC role, and they did so, re-signing Prince to presumably slot into the starting role, but be sure to check out lineups closer to lock. There’s enough talent to beat an up-and-down KDF squad, especially if KDF comes out looking as mediocre as they did against a worse HLE roster.

KWANGDONG FREECS

Winning is great, however, the manner in which they won was a bit concerning. Fortunately, this is their second series of the LCK split, and the cobwebs could be gone after that first series, and in a series that KDF needs to be winning, Kiin finds his way into the upper echelon of our projections in the TOP lane role.

EDWARD GAMING

The LPL part of this LoL DFS slate starts with a high-level series as EDG takes on JDG. EDG came out with fervor in their opening series against WBG, getting the clean sweep, and maintaining that level of play puts them in a fine spot to score another win, with Viper being one of our highest projected ADC players on the slate.

JD GAMING

Following a disastrous game one loss to LGD, JDG found their feet, promptly pulling off the reverse sweep. JDG has already shown some of their ups and downs in the first two series, however, if they remain focused like in their TES victory, JDG offers some intrigue to pull off the upset.

T1

LCK spring split winners, and MSI runners-up T1 find themselves in a winnable spot to open their summer split venture. T1 are big favorites to not only win this series, but they enter as almost even money to win the entire split. Perhaps T1’s projected ownership (LINK) could be a reason to have a bit less, nonetheless, they remain one of the safest plays on this LoL DFS slate, with Gumayusi being one of the most exciting ADC options.

The roller coaster of NS appears to be in full effect, as they showed big flashes of promise in their 0-2 defeat to DRX. NS at full strength can be a pesky out, as top to bottom there’s talent on the roster, especially when they’re all in form, and while it’s difficult to predict a win here against T1, an extremely low owned NS gives reason to consider players like BDD.

ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP

Wrapping up a strong half of the LPL side of the slate is RNG as they take on FPX. RNG is opening their series against an FPX squad with two series under their belt, however, FPX has looked shaky, and if the spring split champions come to play, they should pick up the victory, with Wei offering potential if he dictates the play in RNG’s favor.

FUNPLUS PHOENIX

Early split is the time when upsets most often occur, as FPX found out in their abysmal showing against IG. FPX managed to take a game off of EDG in their opening series, and if they bring that level of play here, they’ll be in the running to pull an upset of their own. Lwx hasn’t gotten off to a hot start, and if FPX is going to win, he needs to step it up tonight.

Favorite LoL Pick Today

ADC-Teddy: Often the most exciting, and consistent part of KDF, our projections have him near the top, making him an excellent play, especially if the LPL skews to being more popular tonight.

Favorite Contrarian LoL Pick Today:

JDG-Kanavi: Being one of the more potentially exciting junglers on the slate makes Kanavi worth rostering, even in a difficult assignment against an EDG that already looks in form.
