Top 2021 Fantasy Football League Winners: Quarterback

Kyle Murray, Cardinals — 22.83 Fantasy Points Per Game

Murray is the only quarterback getting drafted inside the top 100 with positive matchups in Week 16 and 17. This is with 10 players at the position with an ADP of 96 or lower. This has Murray leapfrogging Lamar Jackson in Awesemo’s rankings as the No. 3 quarterback for the playoffs. It also narrows the gap between Murray and the top fantasy football quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Murray projects within 1.1 fantasy points per game of the top-ranked quarterbacks for the playoffs.

Russell Wilson, Seahawks — 22.03 Fantasy Points Per Game

No quarterback sees a bigger boost in the playoffs than Wilson. Despite a negative matchup in Week 16, his spot in Week 17 propels him in a big way. This is because Seattle plays the Lions to close out the fantasy playoffs. That puts Wilson in a great position to win fantasy leagues. Detroit is the consensus worst team in the NFL, giving Wilson a 12.6% bump to his production for the finals. This also makes Seahawks stacks look very appealing for best ball leagues.

Matt Ryan, Falcons — 19.15 Fantasy Points Per Game

Ryan has an awful matchup against the Bills in Week 17. He likely is not a quarterback that many fantasy players will start in the finals. With that said, he draws the Lions in Week 16. This makes Ryan an interesting quarterback to pair with Wilson in drafts. Fantasy players can take advantage of Detroit and ride to a championship by starting quarterbacks against the Lions in back-to-back weeks. Ryan has an ADP of 138.8 and Wilson’s is 55.8, so this is a reasonable duo to get on the same rosters.
