Fantasy Football Deep Sleepers 2021: Top 3 Quarterbacks

Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Awesemo Rank: 122

Average Draft Position: 216.7

Daniel Jones is now surrounded by arguably his best arsenal to date. Awesemo’s Fantasy Football Rankings places Jones near Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford, while the latter are being selected more than 100 spots higher on average. Jones projects for 19.05 fantasy points per game, which is more than 15 other quarterbacks being drafted ahead of him. He is being drafted in the range of Boston Scott, Sammy Watkins, Anthony Firkser and Jared Goff.

In 2020 Jones finished with 2,943 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for 180.02 fantasy points. Now accompanied by Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney, he should see an uptick in production.

Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts

Awesemo Rank: 128

Average Draft Position: 232.8

Though Carson Wentz is now on a solid Colts team, reluctance among fantasy drafters lingers. Awesemo ranks Wentz in the same tier as Marvin Jones Jr and David Johnson, (and both are going more than 100 picks higher on average. Wentz projects for 18.99 fantasy points per game, surpassing the projections of Kirk Cousins. Last season Wentz threw for 2,620 yards, 16 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, totaling 198.4 fantasy points. Being reunited with Frank Reich paves the way for some improvement.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Washington Football Team

Awesemo Rank: 138

Average Draft Position: 189

Ryan Fitzpatrick places near Justin Fields and Mike Williams in Awesemo Fantasy Football Rankings, but the Awesemo’s Fantasy Football Deep Sleepers Tool shows he is being undervalued given his 189 ADP. Fitzpatrick is projecting for 18.69 fantasy points per game, putting him roughly on par with Ryan Tannehill while being drafted several rounds apart. Fitzpatrick is slipping toward the 15th round, in the likely vicinity of Jameis Winston and the Chiefs DST.

Last season in Miami Fitzpatrick threw for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions in nine games. Since he has already been named the starter over Taylor Heinicke, for once he has job security in his new landing spot.
