Top 3 Week 15 Defense Rankings & D/ST Streaming Options | Fantasy Football 2021

Bye weeks are a thing of the past starting in Week 15. As the fantasy season heads down the final stretch, there will be more defense/special teams (D/ST) streaming options to ponder. Let us highlight three of them that could thrive in Week 15 and are still available in the majority of leagues. Also, check out the Awesemo projections to see what is projected for all of the teams that will be in action.

Week 15 Fantasy Football Streaming D/ST Rankings

Miami Dolphins (56% available)

The Dolphins have been locked in on defense during their five-game winning streak. They did not allow more than 17 points in any of those contests and held their opponents to 10 points or fewer four times. However, it is important to note their favorable schedule. They played some of the worst offenses in the league, with four of their games coming against the Texans, Jets, Panthers and Giants. The lone really impressive performance was when they held Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to 10 points.

The Dolphins were on a bye in Week 14, which forced them to be dropped in a lot of leagues. This is an opportune time to take advantage with a rematch against the Jets upcoming for Week 15. The Jets are only averaging 17.4 points per game, and their offense will be further compromised down the stretch with Elijah Moore (quadriceps) and Corey Davis (groin) both on IR.

Philadelphia Eagles (73% available)

The Eagles were also on a bye in Week 14, which came on the heels of them winning three of their last four games. Their defense played an important role in their success, holding their opponents to 18 points or fewer three times. Like the Dolphins, though, they exploited some favorable matchups, including games against the Giants and Jets.

Week 15 brings an important game for the Eagles’ playoff hopes when they face Washington. Washington has been winning games lately, but their offense has not exactly been great, scoring 20 points or fewer in three straight games. Taylor Heinicke is now battling a knee injury, and Terry McLaurin left Week 14 with a concussion, so if either one of them is out for this matchup, Washington could have a very difficult time putting points on the board again.

Minnesota Vikings (70% available)

Of the three D/STs on this list, the Vikings are the least appealing. However, there are not a lot of favorable streaming options despite there being no teams on a bye. The Texans and Jaguars will play each other, both of which are offenses that it is normally wise to try and stream against. The Giants, Lions and Panthers are playing the Cowboys, Cardinals and Bills, respectively, who are already rostered in most leagues.

One of the few remaining offenses to try and take advantage of is the Bears, who will be the Vikings’ opponent. They have only averaged 17.8 points per game while Justin Fields continues to try to assimilate himself to the league. Although they scored 30 points against the Packers on Sunday Night Football, one of their touchdowns came on a punt return. Fields threw two more interceptions, giving him 10  against just six touchdown passes this season.
