NFL Divisional Round Playoffs Fantasy Football Injury Report & NFL News Updates Today

With all of the craziness surrounding the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs, fantasy players need to look into the NFL injury report and break down who to trust. Below is start/sit advice for DFS lineups based on injury news and notes.

NFL Divisional Round Fantasy Football Injury News

Derrick Henry – RB – Tennessee Titans

The Titans are expected to activate Henry today off of the injured reserve to face off against the Bengals. This is one of those situations to temper expectations. It is entirely possible that Henry will drop his normal 100-plus yards rushing, but it is also possible that he will not at his normal workload and D’Onta Foreman gets more than he normally would. This all makes this situation very dicey, as Henry is the highest-priced running back across DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo.

Randall Cobb – WR – Green Bay Packers

Cobb is expected to make his triumphant return this week against the 49ers. He has not played since Week 12 against the Rams. In that game he had four receptions on five targets for 95 yards and a touchdown. Deciphering which wide receiver outside of Davante Adams will have value on the Packers has been a struggle all season. With Marquez Vales-Scantling listed as doubtful, there is a reason to roster Cobb in DFS this week.

Elijah Mitchell – RB – San Francisco 49ers

It seems like the new normal is Mitchell up not practicing at some point in the week. This new normal, though, includes those misses not having any impact on his availability for game action. It was reported on Thursday that he is good to go, and he was left off of the team’s final injury report. Mitchell dominated last game, rushing 27 times for 96 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys. He had over 20 rushes in each of his last six games, so gamers can be confident in Mitchell this week.

Jimmy Garoppolo – QB – San Francisco 49ers

Based upon reports coming out of head coach Kyle Shanahan, Garoppolo will be good to go, and he believes that he will be able to perform at a normal level. Dealing with both a thumb and shoulder injury is far from ideal, but the upside of his receivers around him should not be hampered too much.

Leonard Fournette – RB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

According to Ian Rappaport, Fournette will suit up against the Rams this week. Last week the team utilized a double-headed backfield with Giovani Bernard and Ke’Shawn Vaughn. When Fournette was healthy this season he was the clear lead back, but with him potentially still banged up with his hamstring injury, Bernard could see more work than normal.

Tyler Johnson – WR – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With back-to-back days not participating in practice for Breshad Perriman and Cyril Grayson, Johnson should elevate into the No. 2 receiver role. Last week he had two receptions on three targets for 30 yards. If either Perriman or Grayson were to play, then the chance of Johnson being a solid play would go out the window.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire – RB – Kansas City Chiefs

With Edwards-Helaire out last week, the pivot was Darrel Williams. That pivot was about as off as it gets, as he played just eight snaps in that game and Jerick McKinnon had 12 carries for 61 yards and six receptions for 81 and a touchdown. With that said, Edwards-Helaire was able to practice this week, but head coach Andy Reid has not committed to him starting yet. With this game being the finale of the Divisional Round on Sunday night, it seems unlikely there will be much clarification until late.
