COL (vs. SD)
I’m not always the biggest fan of stacking the Rockies, but on a day like today, I see little choice. There are weather issues in some of the early games, and the implied total for Colorado is gigantic compared to the rest of the team on Tuesday’s slate. It all starts with Spotlight Hitter Chris Iannetta. It doesn’t end there, though. DJ LeMahieu, Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story all have an amazing match-up versus the lefty Eric Lauer. I’m fine using Charlie Blackmon and/or David Dahl as part of a stack, even though the left-on-left scenario is one I’m not a huge fan of.
SD (@ COL)
The Padres are still slightly under-priced for playing in Coors. It worked out very well last night, and I’m hoping the trend continues today. Manuel Margot and Wil Myers are two of the best plays of the entire day. I’d try to stay just in the 1-5 range, with Christian Villanueva, Eric Hosmer and Jose Pirela, as I don’t love the pricing at the bottom of the order.
LAD (@ MIA)
The Dodgers simply have too many good bats for Dillon Peters and the Marlins. Peters struggles to miss bats. That’s not generally the way to succeed versus the Dodgers. Chris Taylor, Enrique Hernandez, Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig all have the benefit of the lefty/righty match-up. Similar to Blackmon and Dahl for the Rockies, I’ll slot Corey Seager and Cody Bellinger into my lines, too.
Awesemo’s Notes
I think Colorado and San Diego will clearly be the top stacks on tonight’s slate. The total of 10 in the Oakland Texas matchup is also jumping off the page, so I would recommend those as the top stacks.
