NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Tuesday, November 29
Core Play of the Day — Luka Doncic: Dallas Mavericks-Golden State Warriors
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 63.67 | FanDuel: 61.49
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 39.9% | FanDuel: 61.7%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $12,600 | FanDuel: $12,000
It should be no surprise that Luka Doncic is going to be the core building block for lineups tonight. He gets a great matchup against the Golden State Warriors, which should help boost the pace of the Mavericks and increase the available opportunities for fantasy production.
Doncic has a raw median fantasy point projection that is a full dozen points higher than anyone else in the player pool. Even with a paltry six teams in action, there are enough discount dandies available to facilitate Doncic as the key player in a majority of lineups.
Currently, Doncic leads the league with 33.1 points per game, while his 8.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.7 steals lead the Mavericks. He is playing a career-high 37.3 minutes per game and posting an absurd 37.7% usage rate, which is a career high and also higher than his league-leading average in this category each of the last two seasons.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight, Jusuf Nurkic has a 14.5 over/under line on his point prop for his matchup against the Clippers. The Stokastic NBA player projections have him for 16.8 points and a 64% likelihood that he exceeds this threshold. This wager does have a semi-heavy -140 juice, which comes with a marginal 8% expected return on investment (xROI) per OddsShopper. These types of wagers with a high likelihood of success but a lower payout upside are best used as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay.

Los Angeles Clippers-Portland Trail Blazers
The Clippers are dealing with injuries to their two best players in Kawhi Leonard (ankle) — who has played only five games this season — and Paul George (hamstring), with both stars likely out through the weekend. Luke Kennard (calf) and John Wall (injury management) are also out, which further thins out the rotational depth.
Norman Powell, Terance Mann, Marcus Morris and Ivica Zubac are the key players to target. Amir Coffey, Nicolas Batum and Robert Covington tend to have more uncertain playing time, though tonight they should match or exceed their standard minute ranges.
Portland is still without Damian Lillard, and his absence has mostly been factored into DFS salary baselines. However, with the thinned-out Clippers roster, the Trail Blazers are actually 3.5-point home favorites. Jusuf Nurkic is a tremendous option, as he should at least be able to mirror the minutes of Zubac and also has a decent chance of not being played off the court in the fourth quarter. Do-everything forwards Justise Winslow, Jerami Grant and Josh Hart are all in play, though they have varying degrees of utility on the different DFS sites depending on their salaries and specific position eligibility.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
This is a thin slate that has some dramatic pending news with the New York Knicks at the Detroit Pistons. Fortunately, this is the first game of the night, so we should have the starting lineups, but without status updates at this time, it is hard to make recommendations.
The main moving part for New York is Immanuel Quickley and his sore knee. If he is in, the New York backcourt is rather crowded now that everyone is healthy. If he is out, then Cam Reddish and Quentin Grimes will have more secure minutes and RJ Barrett and Julius Randle will likely see more offensive opportunities.
Detroit has Bojan Bogdanovic (knee/ankle), Marvin Bagley III (migraines) and Jaden Ivey (knee) all questionable after missing recent action. The if/then iterations are too many to cover here, so tune into the Stokastic NBA Deeper Dive and Live Before Lock shows on YouTube at 5:00 p.m. ET.
