NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Thursday, November 10
Core Play of the Day — Luka Doncic: Dallas Mavericks-Washington Wizards
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 62.62 | FanDuel: 58.61
Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 21.5% | FanDuel: 21.7%
DFS Salary: DraftKings: $12,500 | FanDuel: $12,500
Last night, the Mavericks dropped a very winnable game in Orlando 94-87 to a shorthanded Magic squad, which also ended a four-game winning streak. Tonight, Luka Doncic should be fired up to face former teammate Kristaps Porzingis, though more importantly, he also has a fantasy point projection that is nearly 15 points higher than anyone not named Joel Embiid.
Though he tallied just over 50 fantasy points last night, that was the worst performance of the season for Doncic. He still had a whopping 45.2% usage rate and 29 field goal attempts. It was not an off night from the field, perhaps due to the early start time. Washington plays adequate team defense, but they do not have anyone capable of handling Doncic. Christian Wood remains out, so the scoring will fall to Doncic and former Wizard Spencer Dinwiddie, who is also an intriguing option.
Joel Embiid: Philadelphia 76ers-Atlanta Hawks
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 52.65 | FanDuel: 51.17
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 23.1% | FanDuel: 28.9%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $10,900 | FanDuel: $10,500
This is a back-to-back for the Hawks, who lost to Utah last night in their third game in four nights. Embiid was outstanding on Monday in his first game back after missing a week with an unspecified illness. The Cameroonian was sublime with 33 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while also going 16-for-16 from the free-throw line.
Though Embiid does not have the best track record against Clint Capela, he has not been shut down by any stretch of the imagination, with at least 29 fantasy points in each of their last five meetings. Considering James Harden is out, Embiid is going to get plenty of offensive opportunities and his inside-out game should give him ample access to the 40 fantasy point plateau with additional upside potential.
Tyrese Maxey and De’Anthony Melton are also good options, as each should see additional fantasy production with Harden out. In the event Trae Young (shin) misses this back-to-back, former University of Washington stalwart Dejounte Murray becomes a core building block.
Additional NBA DFS Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tobias Harris is on the shortlist of DFS options tonight and we can look to his 6.5 over/under rebound prop for his matchup against the Hawks. The Stokastic NBA player projections have him for 7.8 rebounds, which works out to a 65% win rate. Harris has eight or more rebounds in each of his last three games and he should continue to see north of 34 minutes with Harden on the sideline, giving him ample opportunity to corral a couple of extra rebounds.

Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
Tonight is a tight slate with all four games tipping off in the first hour. There are a lot of injured players in the Portland-New Orleans matchup on both sides of the court. Be sure to keep tabs on this game and try not to be distracted while building Thursday Night Football island game lineups.
