I’m expecting the field to be extra sharp today with everyone studying up for the Fanduel World Fantasy Basketball Championship this evening. With tonight’s matchup between OKC and Golden State, I expect people to focus on the cheap value plays to fit in studs like Westbrook and Durant.
Nemanja Bjelica (3400 DK, 3500 FD) – Last night after salaries had already been posted, Jimmy Butler was injured, leaving almost 40 minutes to be distributed among the rest of the team. Last time he was out, Bjelica started several games and averaged more than 30 mpg. It’s reasonable to expect that he will get a lot of run, and he’s too productive a player on the court for his 3.5k price tag. Probability of top 3 value: 36.8% DK, 48.3% FD.
Alex Len (5100 Dk, 4500 FD) – With Tyson Chandler doubtful, and Marquese Chriss in the doghouse after an incident with the coaching staff earlier this month, Alex Len is primed to see a good amount of run again tonight. Len can be a bit foul prone, but his price is worth the risk. Expect him to be highly owned again today. Probability of top 3 value: 19.8% DK, 49.5% FD.
Stephen Curry (9900 DK, 9500 FD) – The Warriors are expected to put up 121 points today, 5 more than their season average, but Curry is priced at about value for his season averages. I think in a home game against a good team he will also exceed his average minutes for the season. He’s not a lock to go off tonight, but he’s as good a bet as anyone not listed above. Probability of top 3 value: 18.7% DK, 31.5% FD.
