NBA and NHL DFS players were surprised on Monday night when FanDuel cancelled their contests shortly before lock.
The cancellation comes two days after FanDuel cancelled their Saturday NFL and MMA slates. The slates had significant overlay at the times they were postponed.
FanDuel reached out to DFS player via Twitter to apologize for the inconvenience.
Due to a technical error, we have voided today's NBA and NHL contests that locked at 6PM ET as well as a couple MNF contests. All entry fees are in the process of being refunded to accounts. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding!

The word of Saturday’s cancellation reverberated through the chat of Stokastic’s Live Before Lock show after host Greg Ehrenberg told viewers about the overlay. NFL DFS players were in the process of building lineups for the slate which began at 4:30 p.m. ET with the Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills.
FanDuel’s Saturday NFL main GPP featured $200,000 to first. That and all other contests were taken down while players were in the process of registering and building lineups.
The contest postponements on Monday came ahead of a smaller slate, on a slow day for DFS. The NBA and NHL featured games throughout the Martin Luther King Day holiday instead of their typical night time slates. FanDuel featured smaller prize pools than usual given the circumstances.
FanDuel has scheduled their main NBA and NHL contests for Tuesday night. The main NBA GPP features $50,000 to first place, which is the usual offering by the site. PGA contests have been posted for later in the week.
Stokastic will continue covering news related to FanDuel and all DFS sites. Our Stokastic NBA projections are geared toward any contest size or type.
