Fanduel Slam Dunks Tue 1/30

The injury news today has already started coming in big time.  John Wall is out for the next six weeks, Aaron Gordon is out, Caris LeVert and RHJ are out for the Nets, and the Pistons and Clippers have several players out due to the Blake Griffin trade.  Here are my top 3 plays for today’s main slate!

Note: Top value is determined for Fanduel by being excess points above 4.75x salary.

1.  Spencer Dinwiddie, 5.5K.  Dinwiddie is priced much lower on Fanduel than Draftkings (6.5k) today, so I expect him to fly under the radar in many sources that cover both.  With Quincy Acy replacing RHJ in the starting lineup, there should be more usage for Dinwiddie at the point.  I expect Caris LeVerts minutes to be taken mostly by the returning DeAngelo Russell, but a couple of those minutes are likely to go Dinwiddie’s way.  Probability of top 5 value: 36%.

2.  Bradley Beal, 7.9K.  With John Wall out, Bradley Beal has seen more than a 10% bump in usage this season.  Although he had a dud game last time out, he still had 18.5 minutes in the first half, indicating the possibility of playing up to 40 minutes today.  Probability of top 5 value: 32.45%

3.  Mario Hezonja, 4.1K.  With Aaron Gordon ruled out for the Magic, I expect Hezonja to get the start and get a huge bump in minutes.  That alone is enough for him to reach more than 4.75x value a large majority of the time.  Probability of top 5 value: 32.1%

Alex is better known to fantasy players by his handle "Awesemo" from seeing him in every big tournament in the industry. Playing poker professionally from 2009-2015, he heard that daily fantasy was the next big game picking up steam, and he quickly saw the potential of the relatively new game. Growing his bankroll from 2015-2016, he made a big step in 2017 by claiming the #1 overall ranking on RotoGrinders for the year. After completing his primary objective, he was looking for what's next. Attending dozens of fantasy events, Alex realized that everyone was repeating the same story: wanting to be a great DFS player while holding down a full-time job. He realized that the resources available to fantasy players while great weren't enough to help hobbyists get to the level of competing with the top pros. Having met Tom Kennedy during the FanDuel Scottish Open, the two decided to take on the realm of fantasy content along with co-founder Eddie Lai. Alex creates his own projections for each sport he plays, publishing rankings derived directly from them updated for each major slate.
