The Jock MKT Starter Kit: NBA DFS Picks | April 20
How to Play at Jock MKT
To begin, enter the NBA Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is under way. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid up on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the back-up, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike in regular NBA DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final buzzer of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. It’s as simple as that! For more information, go to jockmkt.com.

Strategy Session — Young Guns
There may only be five games on the schedule, but there are a few young players who could find themselves in a position to thrive. One of them is De’Aaron Fox, who has taken his game to the next level lately. Over the last 15 games, he has gaudy averages of 29.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2.0 steals. Look for him to keep rolling against a Timberwolves team that has the third-worst defensive rating in the league.
Another top young player to consider targeting during the IPO phase is Zion Williamson. He has an ideal matchup against the Nets, who don’t have much quality size to speak of up front. They have also recorded the sixth-worst defensive rating. Be ready to pay up for Williamson, though, given his Awesemo projected fair IPO price of $11.0.
Jock MKT NBA Picks Tonight
Kyrie Irving – The Nets will once again have to play without Kevin Durant, who only made it through four minutes before injuring his thigh Sunday against the Heat. He will join James Harden (hamstring) on the sidelines, leaving Irving as the clear focal point of the Nets’ scoring attack. Combine his potential monster usage rate with the Pelicans having the fourth-worst defensive rating, and Irving has as high of a ceiling as any player on this slate. Awesemo projects him for 43.03 fantasy points, which is the third-highest mark of any player on the slate.
Julius Randle – Randle has an incredibly high floor with his averages of 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists. He has the Knicks in the playoff hunt and is averaging a career-high 37 minutes per game, which is certainly part of the Tom Thibodeau effect. He’s going to be a tough matchup for the Hornets, who will try to slow him down with the likes of P.J. Washington, Jalen McDaniels and Cody Zeller. It is no wonder that the Awesemo projections have Randle projected to score 43.35 fantasy points.
C.J. McCollum – Damian Lillard (hamstring) has missed the last two games for the Blazers and will once again be sidelined Tuesday. McCollum is averaging 19.4 shot attempts per game for the season, but with Lillard out, he attempted 26 and 22 shots in those two games while also dishing out at least six assists in both games. A matchup against the Clippers isn’t exactly ideal, but with his expanded role, McCollum could still finish with a valuable stat line.
