NBA DFS Boom: Pascal Siakam: $9,800 DraftKings/$9,800 FanDuel

There are nine players priced at $10,000 or higher on DraftKings and six on FanDuel. However, taking a dip just below that threshold is Pascal Siakam, who is one of the best pay-up options on the slate. Priced at $9,800 on both sites, Siakam has the highest boom percentage in his pricing tier on both sites. In his five games since coming back from injury, Siakam has scored over 40 DraftKings points in each. He has really stepped up in his last two games, averaging nearly a triple-double, with 27.5 points, 8.5 assists, 8.0 rebounds and 49.8 DraftKings points per game.

Anthony Davis left the Lakers game last night after playing eight minutes due to an illness. His status for tonight is up in the air, but if he were to miss, Siakam would get another boost, as Davis ranks eighth in the league in Defensive Real Plus/Minus this season. The Lakers as a team already rank 24th in points allowed in the paint, with 51.8 per game. They also allow 46.6 rebounds a night, which ranks second highest in the league. Regardless of if Davis is playing or not, Siakam looks fantastic on both sites tonight, as he ranks fifth in projected fantasy points in Stokastic’s projections.

NBA DFS Boom: Jordan Poole: $6,500 DraftKings/$5,900 FanDuel

46.9% DraftKings Boom/52.7% FanDuel Boom

Jordan Poole is the first of many Warriors players worth exposure. Not only is Stephen Curry out, but so are Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins. With those three players out, Poole has seen his usage rate climb +5.2%. He has the second-highest boom percentage on both DraftKings and FanDuel, as the Warriors are double-digit road underdogs, but this game has a total of 234.5 points, which is the second highest on the slate. The Jazz have seen their defensive rating drop down to 25th in the league as they have lost nine of their last 13 games.

In his fourth season in the league, Poole has been very boom or bust, which fits perfectly for this article. However, he has been cooking recently, averaging 24.7 points per game while shooting 54.7% from the field and 48.3% from downtown over his last three games. Poole already has a 50-DraftKings-point performance this season, and with these three players out, Poole will have every opportunity to match that tonight. He is currently the highest-owned player on FanDuel and the second highest on DraftKings. Poole is tough to avoid at this salary on both sites tonight.

NBA DFS Boom: Jonathan Kuminga: $3,400 DraftKings/$4,000 FanDuel

79.7% DraftKings Boom/66.8% FanDuel Boom

Another Warriors value is forward Jonathan Kuminga, who is only $3,400 on DraftKings and $4,000 on FanDuel. He is a fantastic salary saver, especially on DraftKings, with so many pay-up options on this slate. The boom percentages on both sites are some of the largest for any player all season. Kuminga also leads the slate as the best value play in Stokastic’s projections, being the only player with a double-digit value on both sites. After being removed from the rotation, Kuminga has worked his way back as his minutes have increased for three straight games.

Kuminga’s second year in the league has been a bit of a rollercoaster, being in and out of the Warriors lineup. However, Kuminga projects for 34.6 minutes tonight, which would be the third highest he has played all season. He has started twice this season while averaging 18 points on 16 field goal attempts per game. Kuminga played an average of 39 minutes and produced six total steals and blocks in those two games. Projected to be in the starting lineup again tonight, Kuminga is going to be the best value on the slate. Get to as many Warriors players as possible.

NBA DFS Bust: Devin Booker: $10,000 DraftKings/$9,500 FanDuel

54.0% DraftKings Bust/49.4% FanDuel Bust

After back-to-back games that ended in blowouts, Devin Booker only played 28 and 30 minutes while averaging 26.3 DraftKings points per game. Expect a bounce-back performance from Booker after that recent cold streak, but Chris Paul intends to play, which will likely take away Booker’s elite upside. Paul missed exactly one month full of games but will take over the primary ball-handling duties moving forward, as he is averaging a team-high 9.4 assists per game. Among the high-priced options, Booker has by far the highest bust percentage on both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight.

Booker is averaging a career-high 28.4 points per game while nearly joining the 50-40-90 club with his percentages. His salary came down a little bit on FanDuel, but he still remains in the five figures on DraftKings. The Celtics have seen their defensive rating drop from leading the league last season to being 15th this season as they still struggle defending the paint without Robert Williams. Booker is the only player on the slate with an A grade and a D value in Stokastic’s NBA DFS Rankings for DraftKings. With Paul back and playing against elite wing defenders, take another fade approach with Booker tonight.
