For Monday night, DFS players get a nine-game slate to target. With 18 teams in action, NBA fantasy lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel will be flush with high-level talent and value plays. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.

NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight

Boom: Kevin Porter Jr.: $6,800 DraftKings/$6,300 FanDuel

24.7% DraftKings Boom/25.2% FanDuel Boom

With Jalen Green (hamstring) out of the lineup Saturday, Porter posted a double-double worth 54 DraftKings points in the overtime win over the Hornets. This marked a new season high, and when Green has been off the floor, Porter has seen his usage increase 3 percentage points to a team-high 27.9%. Furthermore, Porter’s rebound rate rises 2.9 percentage points, and he contributes 1.1 DraftKings points per minute.

Green has already been confirmed out for Monday night when the Rockets host the Thunder. This game’s total ranks third on the slate (217 points), and Houston’s implied team total is the fourth highest on the board (109.75 points). A total over 40 fantasy points is certainly possible for Porter in this spot, and he has a top-five boom score for both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight.

Porter is one of Zach Brunner’s favorite plays tonight as well. Check out his full write-up on Porter and a few others in his NBA DFS Picks, Grades & Values article for tonight’s slate.

Boom: Christian Wood: $8,200 DraftKings/$7,400 FanDuel

23.7% DraftKings Boom/32.3% FanDuel Boom

Wood also benefited from Green’s absence Saturday, destroying the Hornets for a season-best 63.5 DraftKings points. Take Green off the court, and Wood’s usage and rebound rates increase 3.4 and 2.2 percentage points, respectively. Wood averages a terrific 1.32 DraftKings points per minute sans Green. Facing the Thunder, his props lines on BetMGM are 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Including the DraftKings bonus for a double-double, this is already 37.25 DraftKings points for Wood before defensive stats are credited. Wood is a sharp target on both sites, but at only $7,400 on FanDuel, he is a core play for this full slate.

Boom: Nassir Little: $3,500 DraftKings/$4,200 FanDuel

33.1% DraftKings Boom/18.8% FanDuel Boom

Little is a strong punt to consider with Normal Powell (quad) sidelined. In the first two games of the season that Powell missed back in October, Little started on both occasions and delivered 22 DraftKings points in 29 minutes per game. He scores 0.87 DraftKings points per minute with Powell off the floor this season and has produced 23.2 DraftKings points per game in the 13 games he has cracked the 20-minute mark.

While Little will be facing a Jazz defense that is a top-five unit in efficiency, this matchup’s total is the second highest on the slate (223 point). Plus, given this is just his third year in the league, Little’s playing time should be safe no matter if this game stays close or not. Awesemo is forecasting him for 28.2 minutes, and Little is rating as a top-three value for both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight.

Bust: Paul George: $10,200 DraftKings/$9,200 FanDuel

46.9% DraftKings Bust/38.5% FanDuel Bust

George is just too expensive right now, particularly at $10,200 on DraftKings. At this price, he needs 51 DraftKings to reach 5x value, which is something George has only accomplished in seven of his 20 starts this season. Additionally, Marcus Morris just returned to the Clippers three games ago, which is a tough hit to George’s fantasy value. When he and Morris have shared the floor this season, George’s usage has dropped 2.5 percentage points and he has only scored 1.14 DraftKings points per minute.

Tonight’s matchup with the Pelicans’ sports the fourth-lowest total on the slate (211.5 points), and George is a stud to avoid with decent ownership coming his way on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
