NBA Fantasy: Boom Bust Tool Projections for DraftKings & FanDuel Lineups Today | 12/11/21

We have a mid-sized NBA fantasy slate today, with one game early and six on the main slate. With this, there is injury news you will need to pay attention to. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will give you breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.

NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight

Top Boom Candidates

Kyle Lowry: $7,700 DraftKings/$6,700 FanDuel | 29.7% DraftKings Boom/37.3% FanDuel Boom

Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler are both out for the Heat tonight, which means Kyle Lowry will need to step up on the offensive end. With those two off the floor this season, Lowry has seen a 3.6% usage bump, leading to him averaging about a fantasy point per minute. He looks to be one of the better cash game plays on the slate, with the Boom/Bust Tool giving Lowry a floor of about 32 NBA fantasy points and a ceiling of about 44. In a matchup against another Eastern Conference contender in Chicago, look for Lowry to bring his best today.

Caleb Martin: $3,400 DraftKings/$4,400 FanDuel | 64.8% DraftKings Boom/46.1% FanDuel Boom

A day after his brother turned in a solid performance for Charlotte due to injuries, Caleb Martin will look to do the same for Miami tonight. Again, the absence of Butler in particular vaults Martin to a larger role. Awesemo projects Martin to play 30.1 minutes tonight. He played 34 minutes last game, leading to a 28-point outburst, with eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks to go along with it. We know how the Martin twins can fill up the stat sheet, and he has great opportunity ahead of him tonight.

De’Anthony Melton: $5,100 DraftKings/$5,800 FanDuel | 43.0% DraftKings Boom/28.8% FanDuel Boom

The Grizzlies have one of the easiest matchups in the NBA tonight, facing off against the Rockets. Unfortunately, Memphis will be missing arguably their two best players in Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks. This opens the door for De’Anthony Melton to have a fantastic game, as his offensive services will be needed against a team that allows 112 points per game. Melton sees a 5.1% usage bump with those two off the floor, leading to him averaging over 1.1 NBA fantasy points per minute. Awesemo projects 29.6 minutes out of Melton tonight, so it’s possible we see a big scoring performance from Melton today.

Top Bust Candidates

Christian Wood: $9,500 DraftKings/$8,300 FanDuel | 71.3% DraftKings Bust/53.8% FanDuel Bust

Sticking in that same game, Christian Wood doesn’t have much help around him. This game is also a tough matchup for him. Awesemo’s Fantasy Cruncher says this is the fourth-toughest matchup for his position. Wood isn’t cheap, so he needs a good performance to even return value. Steven Adams will be in his way tonight, so it’s best to look elsewhere at center for this NBA fantasy slate.
