The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight
Boom: Nikola Jokic: $11,800 DraftKings/$11,000 FanDuel
24.2% DraftKings Boom/29.6% FanDuel Boom
Jokic (wrist) returned from a four-game absence Monday and showed no signs of rust, posting 56.25 DraftKings points in the road win over the Heat. Jamal Murray (knee), P.J. Dozier (knee), Michael Porter Jr. (back), Austin Rivers (health protocols) and Bones Hyland (health protocols) have been confirmed out for Wednesday. In the 209 minutes Jokic has played with these players off the court since the start of last season, his usage, assist and rebound rates have increase 5.6, 10.2 and 2 percentage points, respectively. With this role Jokic produces an absurd 2 DraftKings points per minute, and tonight he meets a susceptible Magic defense that ranks 25th in efficiency. Furthermore, Orlando is allowing the fifth-most rebounds in the league, and the Nuggets’ implied team total is set at 108.5 points. No player has a higher ceiling than Jokic tonight, making him the most optimal stud to build around for this full slate.

Boom: P.J. Washington: $5,100 DraftKings/$4,900 FanDuel
16.4% DraftKings Boom/21.4% FanDuel Boom
The Hornets and the Bucks will go head-to-head tonight, and this game’s 231-point total is the highest on the slate by over 10 points. Both clubs rank inside the top 10 in pace. With Mason Plumlee (calf) sidelined, Washington has received over 30 minutes in back-to-back games, resulting in 30.5 DraftKings points per game. Washington should handle around 30 minutes against the Bucks with Plumlee inactive again, and he is averaging 30.4 DraftKings points per game in his last 10 games with at least 25 minutes.
Washington also produced 30.8 DraftKings points per game across three matchups with the Bucks last season. His role simply is not reflected in his current DraftKings and FanDuel salaries, and Washington is an appealing cheap way to attack the highest total of the night without much ownership.
Eric MacPherson has his eye on another player from this Bucks – Hornets game and is calling them his play of the day in his NBA DFS Building Blocks.

Boom: Malcolm Brogdon: $7,700 DraftKings/$7,200 FanDuel
20% DraftKings Boom/24.8% FanDuel Boom
Brogdon is coming off a 46-DraftKings-point outing against the Timberwolves on Monday and is in a great spot tonight against the Hawks. Atlanta is dealing with a few key injuries and ranks 24th in defensive efficiency this season. This matchup’s total is second on the slate (218.5 points), and the Pacers’ implied team total is the fourth largest on the board (110 points). Additionally, Indiana is only favored by 1.5 points, which is the smallest spread of the night. Brogdon has contributed 40 DraftKings points per game in spreads under 5 points over the last two seasons. He is a terrific target on both sites, but at only $7,200 on FanDuel, Brogdon is rating as a top-10 value on the slate.
Lastly, it is worth noting that Justin Holiday (health protocols) is out and Myles Turner (illness) is questionable, and if the latter ends up sitting, Brogdon’s already strong fantasy stock would see a notable boost. His usage has risen 2.4 percentage points to 28.6% when Holiday and Turner have been off the court since the start of last season.
Boom: Kevin Porter Jr.: $7,400 DraftKings/$6,800 FanDuel
17.9% DraftKings Boom/21.2% FanDuel Boom
Porter remains an outstanding option with Jalen Green (hamstring) missing his third straight. Porter has averaged 51.5 DraftKings points per game with Green for these past two, including a triple-double against the Thunder on Monday, who Houston will face again this evening. Porter’s usage rises 2 percentage points with Green off the floor, and his assist rate also sees a 1.8-point boost. He generates 1.11 DraftKings points per minute sans Green. On BetMGM Porter’s prop lines are 15.5 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds, which equates to 30.25 DraftKings points before defensive stats and bonuses.
Despite his recent success, Porter is projected for single-digit ownership on DraftKings tonight.
