NBA Daily Fantasy Injury Report: Starting Lineups & Today’s Breaking NBA News for DraftKings & FanDuel Picks Tonight | 10/26/21

It appears that the NBA Injury Report tonight should be relatively simple to navigate. That does not always mean much when the reports are handed in the night before. With this article, the work of the other staff members and the amazing NBA DFS projections, those scenarios can be handled much more easily. That allows for pivoting at the drop of a hat, and the NBA Starting Lineup page is an extremely important tool as well. There are five games for NBA DFS tonight and includes multiple MVP-caliber players.

NBA Injury Report & Starting Lineups Today | Oct. 26

Remember to always place players from the later games in guard, forward, and utility slots on DraftKings. Allow maximum flexibility to react to the news that comes out after lock, which will happen in NBA. Additionally, take advantage of the wealth of Awesemo NBA content to get ready for these slates.

Teams playing the Second of a Back-to-Back

Denver Nuggets

Philadelphia 76ers at New York Knicks

76ers – Ben Simmons, Shake Milton – Out

Joel Embiid, Andre Drummond – Questionable

Embiid was questionable last game and played 33 minutes, so it is very hard to tell if there is actually danger to him missing this game. When Drummond missed this past game Georges Niang played 20 minutes and Paul Reed contributed nine minutes. There should be a better idea in the afternoon of the status of these players, but Embiid would appear to not be likely to miss this game after last time against the Thunder.

Knicks – Nerlens Noel – Questionable

Even if Noel makes it back into the lineup, expecting him to be fantasy relevant might be a lot to ask. There is a scenario where Mitchell Robinson finds foul trouble. Defending Embiid is a very difficult job and no player attempted more free throws than Embiid last year. Even if that plays out, Noel has not played yet and would very likely find the same foul trouble Mitchell would.

Golden State Warriors at Oklahoma City Thunder

Warriors – Klay Thompson, James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga – IR

Andre Iguodala – Probable

Iguodala being listed as probable on the initial NBA Injury Report would give the Warriors the full roster as it currently stands. It was interesting to see Nemanja Bjelica play under 10 minutes while Otto Porter played 24. Porter could be intriguing since the Thunder are allowing the fourth-highest field goal percentage from 3-point distance. Porter has not found his shot yet but if the minutes start coming, the rhythm gets better, and he is cheap.

Thunder – Derrick Favors – Out

It is only a five-game slate so the options are not plentiful and Mike Muscala could wind up being a value. He has only played two games , and he has logged 12 and 18 minutes. The Thunder could also elect to go smaller and not play a center more, but Muscala has a 17.5% usage rate in his small sample. The Warriors are playing at the second-fastest pace in the league and that helps, along with the salary for Muscala.

Houston Rockets at Dallas Mavericks

Rockets – John Wall – Not With The Team

Mavericks – None

Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Spurs

Lakers – Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn – Out

LeBron James – Probable

Update – James has been downgraded to questionable this afternoon, which needs to be monitored. If he does wind up sitting, the priority shifts towards Davis, Westbrook, and Anthony.

Los Angeles has mostly had a nine-man rotation to start the year and they should follow that same pattern tonight. Past the big three of LeBron, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, only one other player has worked himself into fantasy relevance, and that has been Carmelo Anthony. His minutes have hovered right around 24 per night and Anthony has a 21.6% usage rate and 1.12 fantasy points per minute. The usage is the fourth highest and the fantasy points per minute are higher than Westbrook.

Spurs – Zach Collins – IR

Collins is not due to make his season debut for a while and that loss does not have an effect on the Spurs tonight.

Denver Nuggets at Utah Jazz

Nuggets – Jamal Murray – IR

Denver will not likely submit an official NBA Injury Report until the afternoon since they played last night.

Jazz – Rudy Gay – IR
