NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Picks Based on Awesemo Grades & Values | 10/21/21

After yesterday’s massive, Thursday calms back down with only three games for NBA daily fantasy. While there are two teams that have already played, four are making their season debuts. It does not look like there will be much NBA DFS injury news today. Still, be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | October 21

C Bam Adebayo

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: A

Bam Adebayo is one of the few players with a top grade for both total points and value on both sites. The Bucks can still be attacked in the paint, shown by Nicolas Claxton having a solid game on Tuesday. With shooters and playmakers surrounding Adebayo, he should be able to grab plenty of rebounds and work down low and also force Brook Lopez out of the paint to guard him. Adebayo had multiple strong games against Milwaukee last season, and Awesemo projects him to have another tonight, projecting him for over 40 points on both sites. He is also projected as the top overall center on FanDuel.

C Ivica Zubac

DraftKings Grades: C, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: C, Values: A

If wanting another option at center that is a bit cheaper, Ivica Zubac seems to be a safe play with plenty of upside. With many injuries to the Clippers lineup, Zubac is projected for 28.4 minutes tonight. His last four games over 25 minutes resulted in over 30 NBA daily fantasy points. Last season he averaged 1.1 fantasy points per minute with Kawhi Leonard, Serge Ibaka and Nicolas Batum off the floor. All three are out tonight.

SF Jimmy Butler

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: B

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: B

Jimmy Butler is happy his first game of the season is against the Bucks. Milwaukee knocked him out of the playoffs, and he also went to college in Milwaukee at Marquette, so there is a little extra motivation when facing this team. At a salary a tier below the superstars, Butler is a value with tournament-winning upside. Awesemo projects Butler as the No. 5 scorer on the slate. However, it will be interesting to see how he and Kyle Lowry work together. With Lowry facilitating the offense a bit more, Butler should be able to focus on scoring.

PF Kristaps Porzingis

DraftKings Grades: B, Values: B

FanDuel Grades: B, Values: A

Now is the time to play Kristaps Porzingis while he is healthy. He was on a minutes limit much of last season, but Awesemo projects Porzingis to see 32 minutes of floor time tonight. If the preseason was any indication, he should take advantage of this many minutes. Porzingis averaged 1.60 DraftKings points per minute across three games, and he added defensive stats at a high clip. Porzingis looks to be back, for now.
