There is a big 11-game NBA fantasy slate tonight. With that, NBA DFS injury news will be a big part of tonight’s process. Be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.
NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Dec. 15
*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.
SG Jalen Brunson — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A
Luka Doncic remains out, which means Jalen Brunson remains in play. With Doncic out the past two games, Brunson has averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists. He averages 1.06 NBA fantasy points per minute with Doncic off the floor this season, and the matchup tonight against Russell Westbrook is not scary. Awesemo projects Brunson to play 32.9 minutes in the game. The projections also list Brunson as the top overall value play on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
PG Tre Mann — Grades: D, D | Values: A, A
With Luguentz Dort out tonight, rookie Tre Mann should see more minutes. Awesemo projects him to play 28.4 minutes. He played 28 minutes in a game last week, scoring 18 points. Mann should have success scoring once again tonight, facing a Pelicans team that is tied for the second-worst team in defensive efficiency this season. He is a solid value play tonight, allowing for pay-ups to other players.
Jrue Holiday — Grades: B, B | Values: B, B
Giannis Antetokounmpo is out for the Bucks tonight, which immediately makes Jrue Holiday relevant. With Giannis off the floor this season, Holiday has seen a 6.7% usage bump, leading to him averaging 1.2 DraftKings NBA fantasy points per minute. On top of that, Khris Middleton hyperextended his knee on Monday, so he could be out tonight as well. With Middleton questionable, Holiday is still projected to score almost 40 fantasy points.

C Alperen Sengun — Grades: C, C | Values: A, B
Alperen Sengun has been solid of late and could see an even larger role tonight, with Christian Wood questionable with knee tendinitis. Sengun has played over 20 minutes in back-to-back games, averaging 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and 2.5 blocks. Facing the Cavaliers tonight, he should be a solid play regardless of Wood’s status. However, if he is out, Sengun would be a fantastic value play with upside. Awesemo projects Sengun is projected to play 19.4 minutes tonight, assuming Wood plays.
