There is a mid-sized six-game NBA fantasy slate tonight. With that, NBA DFS injury news will be a big part of tonight’s process. Be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Dec. 22

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

C DeMarcus Cousins — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A

With the Bucks short-handed, DeMarcus Cousins will continue to play a major role for them tonight as they face off against one of his former teams — the Houston Rockets. His time in Houston did not end on the best of terms, so it is possible he has a little extra juice tonight. However, he may not need it. The Rockets are not a good team, and Cousins is coming off a 12-rebound double-double, and he included six defensive stats for good measure. Awesemo’s projections list Cousins as the top overall value play on DraftKings tonight.

Edit: Bulls – Raptors has been postponed

SF O.G. Anunoby — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

It is almost not exaggerating to say everyone is out for Toronto. With its starting lineup decimated, O.G. Anunoby is the only active remaining starter. This may sound like an obvious statement, but when Anunoby is taking shots, he has been good for NBA fantasy. The issue is he can get lost on the offensive end of the floor playing alongside players like Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr. and Scottie Barnes. Well, all of them are out tonight, and Toronto needs Anunoby to put up points. Awesemo projects him to lead the team with about 26 points tonight.

SG Svi Mykhailiuk — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

Sticking in that same game, Svi Mykhailiuk has performed well in the past when given an extended run. Tonight he should start and play over 30 minutes tonight. When playing between 30 and 39 minutes this season, Mykhailiuk has averaged 14 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Again, Toronto does not have much of a choice tonight. He will be playing and touching the ball a lot. Awesemo’s projections list Mykhailiuk as the top overall value play on FanDuel tonight and the third-best value play on DraftKings.

C Kevin Love — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A

Is this the Kevin Love revival? That may be a stretch, but he will be heavily relied upon for the Cavaliers tonight. Both Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley will be out of the lineup tonight, so Love is expected to play extended minutes. He has averaged roughly 12 points and seven rebounds in 19.6 minutes this season. However, Awesemo projects Love to play nearly 28 minutes tonight against the Celtics, which is a team he can have success against.
