After a big NBA fantasy slate yesterday, there are only three games on the schedule for tonight, Still, plenty of NBA DFS injury news is yet to come out, so be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight.
NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Nov. 16
*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.
PG Patty Mills — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A
In the Awesemo Projections Patty Mills is the top value on FanDuel and the second-best value on DraftKings. He has been a spark off the bench for the Nets this season, playing a similar role to the one he had in San Antonio. This was shown last game, as he got more run once Joe Harris left the game with an ankle injury. Mills played 31 minutes and went 9-for-12 shot attempts from downtown, and he also grabbed two steals for good measure. Harris has been ruled out for tonight, and Mills should again see increased time both as a ball handler and as a shooter, filling the role that Harris played for the Nets offensively.
PF Keldon Johnson — Grades: B, B | Values: A, B
While Mills was the top value on FanDuel, Keldon Johnson is projected as the top overall value over at DraftKings, where he is $900 cheaper than his FanDuel salary. He has been extremely steady for the Spurs and NBA fantasy owners alike. At his current price on DraftKings, Johnson has returned value in five straight games. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives Johnson a ceiling of 40 fantasy points tonight as well, showing he is a high-floor, high-ceiling play for a moderate price.
C Rudy Gobert — Grades: B, B | Values: B, B
Rudy Gobert is the most expensive play in this column, as he faces off against a Joel Embiid-less 76ers squad. Philadelphia plays with the second-slowest pace in the NBA (97.9). While fewer possessions mean Gobert will have fewer opportunities for rebounds, there is no doubt he is at his best in a slow-pace, halfcourt game. Gobert should get more minutes since the slower pace will fatigue him more slowly. He will also control the paint defensively and could be more involved offensively. Awesemo’s NBA Daily Fantasy Projections are calling for a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double with multiple blocks.

C Isaiah Hartenstein — Grades: D, D | Values: A, A
The Clippers have the highest projected total of the night (114), per the Awesemo NBA Daily Fantasy Rankings. They will be taking on the Spurs, who have plenty of size in their frontcourt, meaning the Clippers need Isaiah Hartenstein to play minutes off the bench tonight. He has a usage rate above 22% in three of his past five games, as he puts up shots quickly when he is on the floor. This is why he has averaged 1.16 fantasy points per minute. He is projected for 18.5 minutes tonight, so he should be a strong value play that saves money.
