NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Friday, December 2

Core Play of the Day — Evan Mobley: Orlando Magic-Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 38.05 | FanDuel: 38.12
  • Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 17.50% | FanDuel: 19.30%
  • DFS Salary: DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $7,200

With Jarrett Allen set to miss a fourth consecutive game with a back injury, it should come as no surprise that Evan Mobley is going to be a core building block for lineups tonight. He gets a great matchup against the Orlando Magic, and he sees a big uptick in production with Allen out of the lineup.

Priced at $7,000 on DraftKings and $7,200 on FanDuel, Mobley is one of the top points-per-dollar plays at any position, and he’s a cog in the machine type in all formats.

Despite only playing 24 minutes in a blowout win against Philly on Wednesday, Mobley is averaging 39.37 DraftKings points per game over the past three games with Allen out of the lineup. The second-year big man from USC should feel rested coming into Friday night, and in a smash spot against the Magic, he’s a building block on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Core Play of the Day — Zach Collins: New Orleans Pelicans-San Antonio Spurs

  • Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 28.83 | FanDuel: 28.90
  • Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 25.40% | FanDuel: 18.30%
  • DFS Salary: DraftKings: $4,900 | FanDuel: $5,600

While Mobley might be the best mid-range play on the slate, Zach Collins looks like the best value play on DraftKings at $4,900. A bit more expensive on FanDuel at $5,600, Collins’ power forward eligibility there makes him an equally good play across both sites. With Jakob Poeltl still out with a knee injury, we saw Collins step into San Antonio’s starting center role and play 27 minutes against Oklahoma City, with Isaiah Roby really the only guy backing him up. Projected as the second-best points-per-dollar play on DraftKings, and still a top-15 points-per-dollar play on FanDuel despite his elevated price tag, Collins remains a core building block across all lineups tonight.

Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities

Tonight, Nicolas Claxton has a 1.5 over/under line on his assists prop for his matchup against the Raptors. Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have him for 1.46 assists tonight and a 63% likelihood that he falls below this threshold. These types of wagers with a high likelihood of success but a lower payout upside is best used as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay.

Indiana Pacers-Utah Jazz

Coming off a subpar performance against the Kings last time out, Tyrese Haliburton is questionable tonight against the Jazz due to left groin soreness. Without a ton of good value plays to choose from this evening, Haliburton’s situation is worth monitoring, as players like T.J. McConnell and Bennedict Mathurin would see a huge boost with him out of the lineup.

For the Jazz, Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson continue to look like strong plays across both DraftKings and FanDuel, matched up with a Pacers team that has struggled against opposing guards. Expect both Sexton and Clarkson to be very popular across both sites, especially Clarkson on FanDuel where he’s only $6,600
