The Deep Dive: NBA DFS Picks for DraftKings + FanDuel | May 21
Stephen Curry ($11,400 DraftKings/$15,000 FanDuel) — Curry is pretty clearly the top pay up option tonight. The main is reason is because he’s the only pay-up option tonight. This aside, he would look like a strong play even if there were other options. As the Warriors have pushed for the playoffs, Curry’s playing time and minutes have taken a big leap. In the last week, he has a 40.3% usage rate and is playing over 40 minutes per night.
Jonas Valanciunas ($10,000 DraftKings/$14,500 FanDuel) — As far as the spend-up options go on the Grizzlies’ side of the game, Valanciunas is preferable to Ja Morant since he is the better per-minute fantasy producer of the two. The only issue with Valanciunas for the regular season was that his playing time was tough to count on. His playing time was never consistent, which isn’t an issue for this part of the season. In a game that Memphis must win, Valanciunas should play big minutes after he scored 23 points while pulling down 23 rebounds in the Grizzlies’ last game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,200 DraftKings/$10,500 FanDuel) — Jackson is back in the Grizzlies’ starting lineup. While the team is playing it cautious with his playing time, it seems like now is the time to finally unleash the shackles. Jackson played over 30 minutes in each of the last two games, and he could get stretched for more if this game is close. For the season, he is averaging 26.68 DraftKings points in just 24 minutes per game.
Mychal Mulder ($2,200 DraftKings/$7,000 FanDuel) — Mulder is cheap, and there really is not much more to add. It is a one-game slate, and there should be shorter rotations since this game has so much at stake. This makes finding strong value plays very difficult. Anybody cheap who is expected to play minutes has value. Mulder logged 22 minutes last game against the Lakers, so expect something similar today.
