Ownership is expected to be concentrated with just five games on tap. That will mostly leave it up to the DFS player for who they want to use to differentiate themselves. Giannis Antetokounmpo is in a sneaky good spot for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Dallas Mavericks and looks to be under owned, with only 8.10% of rosters expected to have him on DraftKings. He is one high-end option DFS players can look to for leverage.
Averaging a Giannis-like 57.20 DraftKings points per game, Giannis is in great form right now with at least 57 DraftKings points in each of the past three games. Projected to be optimal 11.20% of the time on DraftKings and 15.90% of the time on FanDuel, Giannis looks like an elite play in all formats and offers really nice leverage across both sites.
With Jayson Tatum out tonight for the Boston Celtics against the Washington Wizards, Malcolm Brogdon also finds himself in a great spot, and priced at $5,100 on DraftKings and $5,900 on FanDuel, he’s another strong leverage play across both sites. So far this season, Brogdon is averaging 25.2 DraftKings points per game, and he should see a boost in all categories with Tatum on the sidelines.
Projected for 30.40% ownership on DraftKings and 21.30% on FanDuel, Brogdon is projected to be severely under owned across both sites as he’s projected to be optimal 39.00% of the time on DraftKings and 24.50% of the time on FanDuel. In a good spot at home against the Wizards, Brogdon isn’t getting enough love on either site.
One player who is rating poorly from a leverage perspective on DraftKings in Stokastic’s Boom Bust Tool and might be worth fading is Cam Reddish. Priced at only $4,100, Reddish is projected to be 22.70% owned on DraftKings with an optimal percentage of only 7.90%. At this affordable price point, it makes sense why Reddish is getting love for the New York Knicks against the Memphis Grizzlies, but with other value plays like Corey Kispert and Sam Hauser in better spots, it might be wise to stay away from Reddish in tournaments.
Situations to Monitor
Wendell Carter Jr., Markelle Fultz, Chuma Okeke and Jalen Suggs are all questionable for the Orlando Magic, and Jalen Brunson is questionable for the Knicks. Kyle Kuzma and Monte Morris hold that same questionable designation for Washington, and Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Stewart, Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey are all questionable for the Detroit Pistons. Last, but certainly not least, Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert remain questionable for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
