Coming off a monster 11-game Friday night slate, Saturday night offers us a nice change of pace, with only four games on the docket. This article will analyze Stokastic’s ownership projections to see how to best handle high- and low-owned players in order to gain leverage in DFS tournaments. Let’s get into the top NBA DFS leverage picks for Sunday, including Rudy Gobert and K.J. Martin.
NBA DFS Leverage Picks & Optimizer Plays
Ownership is expected to be concentrated with just four games on tap. That will mostly leave it up to the DFS player for who they want to use to differentiate themselves. Rudy Gobert is in a really good spot against the Oklahoma City Thunder and looks to be under owned, with only 28.70% of rosters expected to have him on DraftKings. As of this writing, Gobert looks like the top option DFS players can look to for leverage.
Gobert was horrendous on Wednesday, as he got into early foul trouble and seemingly never got into a rhythm. Look for the French big man to bounce back in a big way against the Thunder, and he’s not getting nearly enough love. Projected to be optimal 39.50% of the time on DraftKings and 30.50% of the time on FanDuel, Gobert looks like an elite play in all formats and offers really nice leverage across both sites.
Another playing flying way under the radar tonight is KJ Martin. Priced at $3,800 on DraftKings and $4,200 on FanDuel, Martin is another really strong leverage play across both sites.
Projected for 17.10% ownership on DraftKings and only 11.50% on FanDuel, Martin is projected to be severely under owned across both sites as he’s projected to be optimal 27.30% of the time on DraftKings and 22.60% of the time on FanDuel. In a good spot in Golden State against the fast-paced Warriors, Martin isn’t getting enough love on either site.
One player who is rating poorly from a leverage perspective on DraftKings in Stokastic’s Boom Bust Tool and might be worth fading is Jerami Grant. Priced at $7,700, Grant is projected to be 24.70% owned on DraftKings with an optimal percentage of only 17.70%. With Damian Lillard still out, it makes sense why Grant is getting love in a good spot against the Jazz, but with other midrange plays like OG Anunoby and Anthony Edwards in better spots, it might be wise to stay away from Grant in tournaments.
Situations to Monitor
With only four games tonight, there are currently no situations to monitor.
