NBA DFS Picks Leverage & Optimizer Plays | Feb. 13
High-End Tier
Luka Doncic ($12,100) is the most expensive player on the slate but also has the highest point total projection. He’s projected for just 8% ownership with a 16% chance of booming and a 6% chance of being optimal.
LeBron James ($10,800) has a great leverage score. He’s projected for only 2% ownership with a 16% chance of booming and a 7% chance of optimality tonight. His Los Angeles Lakers will take on a Portland Trail Blazers team that ranks 27th in defensive rating.
EDITOR’S NOTE: LeBron James was ruled out at 2:44 p.m. ET. James’ absence makes Anthony Davis a solid pay-up option.

Mid-Tier
Zach Collins ($4,500) has played 35 and 23 minutes in two starts since the San Antonio Spurs traded Jakob Poeltl. With a projection of 26 minutes tonight, he is one of the best values on the entire slate despite a tough matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Collins is projected for 20% ownership with a 32% chance of booming and a 14% chance of being optimal.
Gabe Vincent ($4,500) has started and played 34 to 41 minutes in each of the past four games for the Miami Heat with Kyle Lowry sidelined. Vincent is projected for 23% ownership with a 27% chance of booming and an 18% chance of optimality.
Collin Sexton ($5,200) has started the past three games and played 31 to 37 minutes since the Utah Jazz traded Mike Conley. He’s projected for 23% ownership tonight against the Pacers with a 27% chance of booming and a 16% chance of being optimal.
Kyle Anderson ($4,800) currently has the best leverage score on the entire slate. He is projected for 4% ownership with a 19% chance of booming and a 13% chance of optimality.
Value Tier
Max Strus ($3,800) is currently the top point-per-dollar play of the day. The Heat won’t have Lowry, Tyler Herro or Victor Oladipo tonight, and Strus should play significant minutes regardless of whether he starts. Strus is projected for 51% ownership with a 51% chance of booming and a 43% chance of being optimal.
Mark Williams ($4,000) has started both games for the Charlotte Hornets since they traded Mason Plumlee. He played 31 minutes in the first game against the Celtics but then got into foul trouble against Nikola Jokic and only played 22 minutes against the Nuggets. He should play closer to 30 minutes once again tonight if he can avoid foul trouble. Williams is projected for 36% ownership with a 47% chance of booming and a 22% chance of being optimal in tonight’s matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.
Jalen Suggs ($3,600) has a great leverage score tonight against the Chicago Bulls. He has played minutes in the upper 20s the past two games and is projected for just 2% ownership with a 15% chance of booming and a 7% chance of optimality.
These are just some of the top plays of the slate in terms of projection, value and leverage. However, things can change in a hurry on an NBA slate, remember to track the news throughout the day and take advantage of potential late-swap opportunities.
