Last night we had a large 10-game NBA DFS slate with plenty of value options. It was a real fun slate and a nice change of pace from some of the small slates we have been having. Thunder value was the theme of the day, and as a whole it worked out nicely. The main DraftKings GPP was called the NBA $500K Fadeaway ($100,000 to first, $15 to enter). Let’s get right into the NBA DraftKings Lineup review.

Salary and Ownership
Nine of the top 50 finishers used less than $49,700. Team salaries were lower than normal, with a 20% drop in lineups using max salary. Here are the top salaries used last night:
- $50,000 | 51%
- $49,900 | 24%
- $49,800 | 12%
- $49,700 | 6%
- $49,600 | 2%
The most popular optimal lineup was played 55 times, using all $50,000 team salary and a cumulative team ownership of 248.3%. It scored a 317.50 and min-cashed.
The 150-Maxers
Seventy-nine 150-maxers entered 11,850 lineups, making up 30.2% of entries in this tournament. Thirty-one made a profit, and they were well represented on the leaderboard again today. All told, 150-maxers took first, second and sixth through ninth. Five 150-maxers cashed 20 lineups or fewer, and one 150-maxer cashed no lineups despite using 76 players. I have never seen that happen before, and we discussed this a bit on Twitter today.
The most profitable 150-maxer was Kobe4MVP of course. Let’s look at his worst lineup entered. It finished in 30,738th place with a 241.5. It used $49,900 salary and a cumulative team ownership of 205.1%.
Miscellaneous
Boom of the slate was a tie with two players from the Rockets – Thunder game. Kenrich Williams and Brown both went for 10.2x, Williams being $3,000 and Brown $3,100. They were both rostered in less than 2% of lineups. Bust of the slate was Ishmael Smith who returned 15.5 fantasy points (3.2x) at $4,800 for the 28.9% of lineups that included him.
Eighty-one lineups were reserved and not played. The lowest-owned lineup that cashed (min-cashed) featured a cumulative team ownership of 29.7%:
The lowest-salary team that cashed (min-cashed) used $47,700 team salary:
The best entry from a single bullet only took 17th place:
The best lineup possible would have scored a 381.50 and would have won this GPP by 21.5 points.
