NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Sunday, November 6

Core Play of the Day — Paul George: Los Angeles Clippers-Utah Jazz

  • Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 43.95 | FanDuel: 42.24
  • Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 19.8% | FanDuel: 35.1%
  • DFS Salary: DraftKings: $9,500 | FanDuel: $9,000

It is early, very early in the season, however the Utah Jazz are only half a game behind the Phoenix Suns for the best record in the NBA. This is a feel good story with an entirely new roster, but at some point talent levels out in the standings. The Clippers are 3.5 point favorites tonight and they have won three consecutive games to finally get back to a winning record.

Paul George is going to be playing major minutes while Kawhi Leonard is sidelined and while the well travelled veteran will get some games off for rest, if he is starting, we should expect minutes in the mid-to-upper-30s. After scuffling during the recent three game losing streak, George has averaged 37.4 minutes and 20.7 field goal attempts, including 8.0 from beyond the arc.

Though he will not continue converting at a 58.1% rate, he contributes across all of the statistical categories in a meaningful fashion. In these last three outings, he is averaging 31.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 3.4 combined blocks and steals. The Jazz play at a top-10 pace with a mediocre defense.

Toronto Raptors-Chicago Bulls

Pascal Siakam (groin) is doubtful and Fred VanVleet (back) is questionable after missing the last three games. Gamers should be flocking to do-everything Scottie Barnes who is coming off his first career triple-double. OG Anunoby is also a player to target as he will have no choice but to attempt double digit field goal attempts. Adding in some buckets to his blocks, steals and rebounds and he has a strong path towards the 40 fantasy point plateau.

Chris Boucher and Precious Achiuwa should get all the minutes they can handle and their foul limits allow, making them two more outstanding point-per-dollar options. Finally Gary Trent Jr. should be in the mix as well and though he is very scoring dependent, he is going to have to help fill in the offensive void today. In the event VanVleet does play, he should be considered a full-go and worthy of a roster slot in most lineups. Veteran Otto Porter Jr. is a trap, even at $3,700 on DraftKings with only six teams in the player pool, let other gamers be disappointed by his inevitable 20 minutes of playing time and 0.7 fantasy points per minute rate.

Chicago is still without Coby White (quad), Andre Drummond (shoulder) and Lonzo Ball (knee) is unlikely to play until after the holidays. This is the frontend of a back-to-back for the Bulls and there is a chance they give Zach LaVine they day off in order to have him on Monday when these two teams take this series to the Windy City. Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan are stellar options, regardless of LaVine’s status and they can be liberally sprinkled into tournament rosters.

Additional NBA DFS Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities

Steven Adams has a 9.5 over/under rebound prop for his matchup against the Wizards tonight. The Stokastic NBA player projections have him for 10.7 rebounds which works out to a 62% win rate. In five of his last six games, Adams has recorded double-digit rebounds, with nine in the on game where he failed to reach that milestone.

Washington Wizards Without Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal is in the health and safety protocol and he will not play tonight. This season, Beal has taken a step back now that he is not forced to carry the load every night for Washington. That means we are not going to see a major boost to any one player in his absence as the Wizards tend to rotate their secondary guards already.

Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis are likely to each see a few additional offensive looks, which does help solidify their baseline fantasy projection. Deni Avdija, Monte Morris and Will Barton should all see a few extra minutes as the main offensive facilitators. Aside from this quintet, it will be tricky to trust any other Washington player as coach Wes Unseld Jr. has been running a deep rotation this season.
