NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Saturday, November 26
Core Play of the Day — Kevin Porter Jr.: Houston Rockets-Oklahoma City Thunder
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 41.0 | FanDuel: 39.13
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 23.9% | FanDuel: 31.1%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $8,400 | FanDuel: $8,000
Tonight, is a back-to-back for both teams, with each franchise coming off home victories. Houston gets a slight nod tonight from a fantasy perspective as they remain at home, while Oklahoma City is travelling and also playing for the third time in four days. Each of these teams is playing at a top 10 pace with a bottom 10 defensive efficiency rating leading to a lofty 232.0 projected point total for this matchup.
Kevin Porter Jr. has made great strides since his rookie campaign in Cleveland, and he is posting career highs in most statistical categories this season. Hopefully there are enough game-log glancers that do not realize last night’s disappointing effort was the second worst game from the field for Porter this season converting on just 5 of 16 (.313) attempts and missing all six from beyond the arc. He should continue to see minutes in the mid-30s with a couple readily attainable as upside if this is a close game.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Oklahoma City Thunder-Houston Rockets
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 51.09 | FanDuel: 52.08
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 28.1% | FanDuel: 44.5%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $10,600 | FanDuel: $10,600
The only knock against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is that he played 40 minutes last night while leading his team to a 123-119 overtime victory against Chicago. This is also the third game in four days and the fourth in six for Oklahoma City. On Wednesday, Gilgeous-Alexander also logged 42 minutes in an overtime loss to Denver. If Gilgeous-Alexander is in the starting lineup, then we should project him for his standard minutes. If for some reason the game is out of hand, then he may head to the bench early. The Thunder play on Monday and then again on Wednesday before getting a mini break in front of their upcoming five game road trip. This is a winnable game tonight and as -2.5 point road favorites, all signs indicate we should see SGA racking up the fantasy goodness once more.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight, Josh Giddey an intriguing option with a 6.5 over/under line on his rebound prop for his road matchup against the Rockets. The Stokastic NBA player projections have him for 8.1 rebounds and a 69% likelihood that he exceeds this threshold. There is a heavy -146 “juice” on this wager so the 17% expected return on investment (xROI) per OddsShopper, is somewhat tempered – however, using this as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay can help increase the payout.
For the season, Giddey is averaging 7.4 rebounds per game and in his 70 career starts he is averaging 7.7 boards. Houston is one of the better rebounding teams in the league, but the up-tempo pace of this matchup should provide plenty of caroms to chase down.

Los Angeles Lakers-San Antonio Spurs
Last night the Lakers picked up their sixth win of the season topping the Spurs 105-94 with LeBron James leading the way after missing just over two weeks of action. Thought this is a back-to-back, the venue is the same and this will be the third game in four nights for San Antonio. James indicated he expects to play tonight, and it seems like Anthony Davis will be joining him. Patrick Beverley is serving the second game of his three-game suspension. Dennis Schroder drew the start, and we should expect more of the same tonight. Russell Westbrook takes the biggest hit when both James and Davis are available as he sees very few minutes without at least one of them alongside him. Value options include Austin Reaves, Troy Brown Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV, though let personal preference be your guide as none of this trio would be in consideration if not for the abbreviated three-game slate.
There is a good chance that someone gets the night off for San Antonio, so keep tabs on any updates throughout the day. My best guess is that Zach Collins may get a break after playing 21.2 minutes off the bench in his first action in three weeks. If he is out, then that gives a boost directly to Jakob Poeltl and Charles Bassey as this trio split the 48 center minutes. If Collins is in, the Poeltl is still an option, but it is likely he sees much more than his 25 minutes from last night.
Further clouding the issue is that Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott may return after each missing a couple games with ankle injuries. It would not be a surprise to see one of Devin Vassell or Keldon Johnson held out for rest as the Spurs are not particularly interested in winning this season. If everyone is in, then rookie Jeremy Sochan and point guard Tre Jones are the best options from San Antonio. Tune in to NBA Live Before Lock at 7:00 p.m. ET on the Stokastic YouTube channel for all the updated analysis for this situation.
