Coming off a big eight-game slate on Monday, Tuesday offers us a nice change of pace, with only three games on the docket beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Let’s look at the player pool to discuss the top NBA DFS building blocks today for DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. Be sure to check out the Stokastic NBA DFS & Fantasy Basketball home page, where you can find fantasy basketball picks and analysis for each slate of games.
NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Tuesday, December 6
Core Play of the Day — Tim Hardaway Jr.: Dallas Mavericks-Denver Nuggets
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 25.55 | FanDuel: 24.33
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 49.90% | FanDuel: 27.30%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $5,700
Arguably the top value play on the slate on DraftKings, it should come as no surprise that Tim Hardaway Jr. is going to be a core building block for lineups in a a good matchup against the Nuggets.
Hardaway is in great form right now, as he is averaging 37.1 DraftKings points over the past four games. He was especially impressive last night, accounting for 17 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in only 23 minutes as the Mavericks destroyed Phoenix. Despite Hardaway’s recent production, DraftKings has him cheaper than he was yesterday.
Way too cheap on DraftKings, Hardaway looks like a free square, and at only $4,400, it’s difficult to get away from him in any format.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight, Anthony Davis has a 0.5 over/under line on his 3-pointers prop for his matchup against the Cavaliers. Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have him for 0.36 3-pointers tonight and a 62% likelihood that he falls below this threshold. These types of wagers with a high likelihood of success but a lower payout upside is best used as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay.

Los Angeles Lakers-Cleveland Cavaliers
Sticking with this contest, in what looks like the potential game of the night from an NBA daily fantasy sports perspective, there is a lot to like on both the Lakers and Cavaliers this evening. For the Lakers, LeBron James makes his annual return to Cleveland, and if you want to take a trip down narrative street, James has at least 75 DraftKings points in two out of his past three meetings against the Cavaliers. While Anthony Davis has been the Lakers’ lead dog recently, this is a great spot for LeBron to show out.
Jarrett Allen, who is listed as questionable again tonight, took part in the team’s morning shootaround, and he has a good chance of returning to the court after missing Cleveland’s past five games.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
There are only six teams in action tonight, so while there will be news rolling in throughout the day leading up to lock, it should be easy enough to handle.
