In case you’ve had enough of Saturday afternoon football, there is a small four-game NBA slate on Friday beginning at 8 p.m. ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Let’s look at the player pool to discuss the top NBA DFS building blocks today for DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. Be sure to check out the Stokastic NBA DFS & Fantasy Basketball home page, where you can find fantasy basketball picks and analysis for each slate of games.
NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Saturday, December 3
Core Play of the Day — Kyle Anderson: Oklahoma City Thunder-Minnesota Timberwolves
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 27.99 | FanDuel: 28.73
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 42.00% | FanDuel: 38.10%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $4,700
With Karl-Anthony Towns out for 4 to 6 weeks with a calf injury, it should come as no surprise that Kyle Anderson is going to be a core building block for lineups tonight. He gets a great matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and at this price point, he’s a cog in our machine in all formats.
Despite getting a slight price increase on each site, Anderson still looks like one of the top points-per-dollar plays on the slate, as he’s still only $4,400 on DraftKings and $4,700 on FanDuel.
After Towns got hurt on Monday night, Anderson replaced him in Minnesota’s lineup, and he accounted for 8 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes. Slo-Mo was even better on Wednesday night against the Grizzlies, as he put up 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes starting in place of Towns. Anderson is never going to be a prolific scorer, and he’s certainly much more solid than spectacular, but he’s a core play in all formats given his cheap price point.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight, Jusuf Nurkic has a 3.5 over/under line on his assists prop for his matchup against the Jazz. Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have him for 3.19 assists tonight and a 64% likelihood that he falls below this threshold. These types of wagers with a high likelihood of success but a lower payout upside is best used as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay.

Oklahoma City Thunder-Minnesota Timberwolves
In what looks like the potential game of the night from an NBA daily fantasy sports perspective, there is a lot to like on both Minnesota and Oklahoma City this evening. For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remains questionable. If SGA sits again, everyone else on OKC becomes more viable, with players like Josh Giddey and Tre Mann seeing a huge uptick in usage.
For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards was magnificent last time out, accounting for 29 points, three rebounds, five assists, five steals and three blocks in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies. Edwards will continue to be a really strong play with Towns out, and he’s still a bit too cheap across both sites. Rudy Gobert was horrendous on Wednesday, as the French big man got into early foul trouble and seemingly never got into a rhythm. Look for Gobert to bounce back in a big way against the Thunder, and he looks like a nice leverage play on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
There are only eight teams in action tonight, so while there will be news rolling in throughout the day leading up to lock, it should be easy enough to handle. Orlando, Toronto, Houston, Golden State and Utah are all on the second leg of back-to-backs so pay extra attention to those five teams.
