NBA DFS Deep Dive: DraftKings + FanDuel | June 26

Paul George ($11,200 DraftKings/$15,000 FanDuel) — George is the No. 1 player in the Awesemo fantasy basketball projections tonight at at 57.19 DraftKings points. Now that Chris Paul is back for the Suns, George becomes the clear top option. While Paul and Devin Booker compete for usage and touches, George has to run the Clippers’ offense by himself. Kawhi Leonard remains out because of a knee injury and it is still not known when, or if, he will return to action. George has a usage rate over 35% in every game this series to cover for the loss of Leonard. Despite his lofty salary, George is still the No. 1 overall value play on the slate in the Awesemo daily fantasy basketball projections.

Chris Paul ($9,800 DraftKings/$15,000 FanDuel) — Paul returned to the Suns last game after missing the first couple contests of the series because he tested positive for COVID. He struggled a bit in his return from a real-life basketball perspective, but it didn’t impact his fantasy performance. Paul played 39 minutes and put up 43 DraftKings points in the loss. It was encouraging to see Paul play that many minutes after some time off. Booker struggled with his shot as he was wearing a mask because of a nose injury, and that could remain an issue for Game 4. This could put more burden on Paul, who actually is coming in at 70% owned in the Awesemo daily fantasy basketball ownership projections on DraftKings, which is less than Booker despite a cheaper price.

Ivica Zuac ($4,200 DraftKings/$11,500 FanDuel) — To matchup against Deandre Ayton, the Clippers are playing a much different rotation in this series compared to earlier in the playoffs. The biggest change is that Zubac is now starting at center over Nic Batum. Zubac isn’t just starting, he’s playing massive minutes and delivering big fantasy results. In the last two games, Zubac is averaging 33 minutes and 37.38 DraftKings points. FanDuel has priced Zubac up a bit but he remains criminally underpriced on DraftKings. His recent results make him the one of the top value options in this game by a wide margin. There is also reason to play Zubac as a captain to fit in all the stars in the top salary tier.

Patrick Beverley ($3,800 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel) — Like Zubac, Beverley is playing a bigger role in this series since his defense has played a key role in keeping Booker in check. After Booker lit up the Clippers in Game 1 and posted the first triple-double of his career, Los Angeles is making it a priority to have Beverley on the court to defend him. While the Clippers couldn’t have expected that Beverley would injury Booker’s nose, it certainly played a role in keeping the All-Star in check. Beverley’s pesky defense has led to him starting and averaging 26.5 minutes across the last two games.
