NBA DFS Picks: FanDuel Simulation Games for 3/26/20

The NBA may have stopped but that doesn’t mean we don’t have e-sports contests! FanDuel has kept it going with contests every night. Here are Adam ‘ShipMyMoney’s’ TOP NBA DFS Picks for Thursday, March 26.

Here’s what we’re doing: over the next few weeks, we’re giving away $20,000+ in prizes in FREE TO PLAY contests based on simulated NBA DFS games that will air on YouTube and Twitch streams involving your favorite Awesemo personalities. And it all starts today. There will be Daily Contests where you are asked to predict aspects of the day’s simulated game. Get the most correct answers and you’ll be eligible for great prizes. Prizes will vary from day-to-day. Enter now (and every day) by clicking on the following link:

Through April 3, we’ll also be running a $15,000 Bracket Challenge with $10,000 to first. You’ve made your bracket picks and if you get the highest score you could walk away with $10,000. Tonight we have a battle between the 2000-01 Philadelphia 76ers and the 1986-87 Los Angeles Lakers. Click here to enter.

And don’t forget, FANDUEL is running a FREEROLL contest based off the Awesemo Sim for tonight’s game. To get in, just follow THIS LINK.

Additional details regarding both the $15,000 Bracket Challenge and the Daily Contests, including full Terms and Conditions, are available here: http://https://bit.ly/FanDueleNBA. Thank you for supporting us and we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to give something back. We aren’t going anywhere and hope you feel the same.

FanDuel NBA DFS Sim Sports Rules

  • Players are randomly assigned stats from a game they played during the 2019-2020 season.
  • Only players who have scored fantasy points in at least 15 games will be included in the pool.
  • The opponent matchups in each slate are irrelevant for the simulations.
  • Only games where players scored more than zero points will be available to be assigned stats, No DNPs or Late Scratches.
  • Scoring Example: LeBron James draws a 23 – he will get assigned the stats and Fantasy Points from the 23rd game he played this season: 65.4. Each player will be assigned a different random game.
  • Again listed matchups do not matter.

NBA DFS Picks: Top Tier

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis is far and away the most expensive player on the slate at $11,400. He deserves this price tag, however, as he is the best fantasy producer in the league. If we use five times salary plus 10 points as a target score, Giannis has a 19.0 percent chance of reaching his target score, which is higher than all but one player that is priced above $9,000.

Kawhi Leonard

Leonard is the only player above $9,000 in salary that has a higher probability of reaching his target score than Antetokounmpo. Leonard has scored at least 57 FanDuel points in 19.2 percent of his games played this season.

Hassan Whiteside

Whiteside edges out Nikola Jokic for the top pay-up option at center as he has scored at least 56.5 FanDuel points in 18.0 percent of his games this season compared to Jokic’s 16.7 percent probability of reaching his target score.

NBA DFS Picks: Mid Tier

LaMarcus Aldridge

Aldridge is afforable at $7,300. Between him and Kristaps Porzingis, I prefer Porzingis. Aldridge has reached his 5x + 10 target score in 22.6 percent of his games this season and has a ceiling of 66.3 FanDuel points.

C.J. McCollum

McCollum stands out as a strong mid-range option not so much because of his probability of exceeding his target score but because of how much he will exceed it by when he does have a good game. McCollum has an extremely high ceiling because of his performances when Damian Lillard was sidelined this season. McCollum has exceeded his 46 point target score in 17.7 percent of his games this season, but his average score in those games is 54.4 FanDuel points.

Jonas Valanciunas

Valanciunas is one of the top center plays, and top mid-range plays, on the slate. He only costs $6,600 but he is a good player to roster because he is extremely volatile so he gives us a high ceiling while his average points per game keep his salary low. Valanciunas has exceeded his 43-point target score in 25 percent of his games this season and he has averaged 51.2 points per game in those 16 games. He has five games over 55 FanDuel points this season and a ceiling of 61.4 points.

NBA DFS Picks: Value Tier

Christian Wood

Wood is one of the highest-upside values on the slate as he costs only $4,900 and has exceeded 29.5 FanDuel points in 40.3 percent of his games this season. Not only does he have a greater-than-40 percent chance of reaching his target score, but he has at least 40 fantasy points in 16.1 percent of his games this season. The downside to rostering Wood is that he has failed to reach 15 fantasy points in greater than 25 percent of his games this season. Assuming a large percentage of the field will roster Wood, fading him puts you in a great spot if he is assigned a dud since it will essentially make it impossible for all of the lineups with him to win.

Reggie Jackson

Jackson was no longer a viable DFS option once he joined the Clippers, but we have access to his games with Detroit in this format. He is only $4,500 and has played only 23 games this season. He has exceeded his 32.5 point target score in six games this year, giving him a 25 percent chance of doing so tonight.

Shabazz Napier

Napier is the same price as Jackson and has a similar chance of reaching his target score as he has at least 32.5 points in 25.4 percent of his games played between the Timberwolves and the Wizards this season. Napier’s floor is slightly lower than Jackson’s as he has failed to reach 20 fantasy points in 49 percent of his games this season compared to 47.8 percent for Jackson.
