There will be Daily Contests where you are asked to predict aspects of the day’s simulated game. Get the most correct answers and you’ll be eligible for great prizes. We aren’t going anywhere and hope you feel the same.

FanDuel NBA DFS Sim Sports Rules

  • Players are randomly assigned stats from a game they played during the 2019-2020 season.
  • Only players who have scored fantasy points in at least 15 games will be included in the pool.
  • The opponent matchups in each slate are irrelevant for the simulations.
  • Only games where players scored more than zero points will be available to be assigned stats, No DNPs or Late Scratches.
  • Scoring Example: LeBron James draws a 23 – he will get assigned the stats and Fantasy Points from the 23rd game he played this season: 65.4. Each player will be assigned a different random game.
  • Again listed matchups do not matter.

NBA DFS Picks: Top Tier

Luka Doncic – PG – $10,800

This has been a phenomenal second season for Luka Doncic. Currently he is sixth in the league with 28.7 points per game, seventh with 9.1 3-point attempts per game, fourth with 8.7 assists per game and a league-leading 14 triple-doubles. In his 56 games this season, he has scored at least 60 FanDuel points nearly a quarter of the time.

Trae Young – PG – $10,000

There is a lot to like at the top of the point guard position tonight and there is a chance that Trae Young is lost in the shuffle. He has topped 50 FanDuel points in almost a third of his games this season with at least 60 fantasy points 20% of the time.

Karl-Anthony Towns – C – $10,600

In a fun quirk, both of the FanDuel slates today have the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Brooklyn Nets. Towns played in 35 games with an average fantasy score of 49.26 FanDuel points. In 28 of his appearances, he has reached 40 fantasy points. While he is one of the most expensive options on this afternoon slate, he did cruise past 50 fantasy points in 17 games. This gives us nearly a 50/50 shot at glory.

Kyrie Irving- PG – $9,700

It is crazy to not lock Kyrie Irving into your lineups whenever that option presents itself. This season, he played in just 20 games with six of those being 60-FanDuel-point performances. That is a 30% chance at a big number. When paired with Towns, there is a tremendous upside.

NBA DFS Picks: Middle Tier

Kristaps Porzingis – PF – $7,900

Yes, Kristaps Porzingis started the season slowly as he was coming back from a long injury layoff. However, on the flip side he had several monster performances in games with out Doncic. Additionally, he played in just one back-to-back game from New Year’s Day through the suspension of the season, which means we are getting high-quality load management benefits. In half of his 51 games, Porzingis surpassed 40 FanDuel points. In 31% of those, he tallied over 49 fantasy points.

LaMarcus Aldridge – PF – $7,300

While it may not seem like it, 34-year-old LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging a tick above his career fantasy point production. While he will disappoint about 20% of the time with 10 of his 53 games resulting in fewer than 25 FanDuel points, he produced at least 44 fantasy points in nearly a third of his outings this season and he averaged 54.2 FanDuel points in those 21 games.

Caris LeVert – SG – $6,000

There are a lot of duds in his game logs as Caris LeVert was working his way back from injury and on a minutes limit for a full month. In about half of his games, he produced north of 30 FanDuel points and in the best 10, he averaged 48.07 fantasy points.

NBA DFS Picks: Value Tier

Jordan McRae – SG – $4,100

In 25% of his games, Jordan McRae compiled less than 11 FanDuel points, but in nearly a quarter of them he topped 25 fantasy points. We also have an 11% chance of at least 40 fantasy points courtesy of his time spent with the Wizards.

Malik Beasley – SF – $3,700

Be cognizant that this play brings a boom/bust set of outcomes. Malik Beasley spent most of the season coming off the bench for the Nuggets and he has 24 of 55 games with fewer than 15 FanDuel points. He also has nine with 33 or more, averaging 37.3 fantasy points 16.3% of the time. If you land on one of those game, there is a good chance you will cash in these giant-field tournaments.

Jordan McLaughlin – PG – $3,800

As I mentioned last Sunday, this play is most certainly not for the faint of heart, but Jordan McLaughlin does have an 8x outcome on today’s price tag in 20% of games. A full one-third of the time he is not going to crack a dozen FanDuel points. Keep in mind that all we are risking is time and not dollars in today’s FanDuel simulation.
