NBA DFS Picks: Prime Time Players
Trae Young: Atlanta Hawks at Washington Wizards
DraftKings $10,400, FanDuel $10,000, Yahoo $47 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 8.8%, FanDuel 14.6% Yahoo Fantasy 9.2%
First of all, this is the preliminary run of ownership and we will likely see Trae Young double or even triple this level. There should be plentiful value opportunities presenting themselves throughout the day. With a 238.0 projected total, regardless of Bradley Beal’s status this should be a game to target.
Over the last month, Washington has the second-worst defensive efficiency allowing 114.7 points per 100 possessions. They are also playing at a top-10 pace. In his last three appearances, Young is averaging 38.4 minutes with 37.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 10.0 assists and 1.0 combined blocks/steals with 4.3 made 3-pointers. He headlines the premium options today for me.
NBA DFS Picks: Good Value
Kevin Huerter: Atlanta Hawks at Washington Wizards
DraftKings $6,100, FanDuel $5,700, Yahoo $19 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings <5.0%, FanDuel <5.0% Yahoo Fantasy <5.0%
Gamers, we are going to want to stack this game today. Again, this is just the first run of ownership, but I have to believe that Huerter may go a little under the radar with 10 games and his price tag ticking up. He has topped 30 minutes in 10 of his last 12 games and is averaging 0.91 fantasy points per minute in that stretch. Now, in addition to getting the backup point guard duties, Huerter is on the court for nearly 10 more minutes per game than he was three weeks ago.
NBA DFS Picks: Risky Value
Delon Wright: Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Lakers
DraftKings $4,900, FanDuel $4,500, Yahoo $10 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 29.0%, FanDuel 29.3% Yahoo Fantasy 42.6%
No, No, No, this is just not a play that I am fond of even with projection systems giving him a nice point-per-dollar bump. Yes, Kristaps Porzingis is out so there will be some production and minutes trickle-down effect. J.J. Barea is questionable, but that does not move the needle for me either. So much of Delon Wright‘s fantasy upside potential is tied up in steals that this just seems not worth the likely pedestrian outing tonight.
The Lakers are a difficult matchup with good defenders at every position and on offense, they tend to not have as many turnovers. Anything less than 25 fantasy points for Wright and we win, anything more than 30 and we start to lose.

Today, let’s look at how we can use the groups feature to facilitate a game stack.
We can create a group with all of the players we want from the Wizards and Hawks game and set the must play recommendation to five.
Keep in mind that all of your other rules and player exposures will be enforced. I like to give these type of groups an obvious name so I can quickly find them and then enable/disable as I see fit.
After running a few Crunches, I am seeing the mixes slanted towards one or the other team (aka 4-1 player disbursement).
To counter this, I have gone into the advanced tab and set it to a minimum of two players from each of the teams.
Because of this, it will be better for me to run my game stack crunches separately and then disable these rules to run the remainder of my lineups.
