NBA DFS Picks: Prime Time Players
Andre Drummond: Detroit Pistons at Brooklyn Nets
DraftKings $9,700, FanDuel $10,200, Yahoo $49 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 14.0%, FanDuel 3.3% Yahoo Fantasy 8.4%
At the top today, we have several contingency plays so I will just list a few tidbits. In his last five matchups against Jarrett Allen, Andre Drummond has posted 20/20 games. These two teams met four days ago and while the game went to overtime, Drummond did not pick up any stats in the extra frame. The issues here are that he is dealing with a sore wrist and that there is an excellent center play with Jakob Poeltl at this same position.
Russell Westbrook: Houston Rockets at Portland Trailblazers
DraftKings $10,400, FanDuel $11,000, Yahoo $49 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 6.8%, FanDuel 6.6% Yahoo Fantasy 10.4%
Russell Westbrook was out on Monday which was the second game of a back-to-back. If James Harden misses another game with his bruised quad, Westbrook becomes the top play of the night.
Kyrie Irving: Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons
DraftKings $9,100, FanDuel $9,300, Yahoo $43 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 22.6%, FanDuel 32.3% Yahoo Fantasy 22.0%
This is a nice spot for Kyrie Irving who was out for the last game for personal reasons. After being in the top third of the league for defensive efficiency the last two seasons, Detroit has been fighting to stay out of the bottom five this season. If Irving is a go, he becomes one of the best plays on Wednesday.
Damian Lillard: Portland Trailblazers vs. Houston Rockets
DraftKings $10,500, FanDuel $9,800, Yahoo $48 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 6.8%, FanDuel 26.6% Yahoo Fantasy 10.0%
If the first three plays do not come to fruition, then turn to Damian Lillard with confidence in a great matchup. We can also look to C.J. McCollum and Hassan Whiteside regardless of any news for the previously listed top options and we have both Carmelo Anthony and Trevor Ariza at decent price points with healthy minutes projections in a “remember me” matchup.
NBA DFS Picks: Good Value
Jakob Poeltl: San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz
DraftKings $5,600, FanDuel $4,400, Yahoo $14 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 3.6%, FanDuel 85.6% Yahoo Fantasy 99.0%
While I would expect that early exuberance for Poeltl on FanDuel and Yahoo to come down as more value plays are revealed, it still will be an interesting game theory play with regards to leverage against the field. Now, we should temper expectations for the fourth-year big man in this matchup against Rudy Gobert. A similar line of 16 points and 13 rebounds was a lofty result in his last start; however, over his last two seasons, he has been a tick shy of a fantasy point per minute.
Yahoo Fantasy Discount Dandies
Victor Oladipo vs. CHI – $10Â (yes, even on an 18-20 minute limit I would consider him in Yahoo tournaments).
Patty Mills vs. UTA – $11
Royce O’Neal at SAS – $10

Jakob Poeltl: San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz – 1.85x multiplier
DeMar DeRozan: San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz – 1.4x multiplier
Kyrie Irving: Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons – 1.2x multiplier
Our standout SuperDraft recommendation for today is Jakob Poeltl who should be sliding into another start with LaMarcus Aldridge out of action with a thumb injury. We can also turn to DeMar DeRozan who has an increase of 0.1 fantasy points per minute along with a 5.4% usage bump with Aldridge off the court. In his last 18 games, DeRozan has topped 40 fantasy points 13 times and 50 four times. That is a nice upside with the multiplier. Finally, we have Kyrie Irving in a nice matchup with the Pistons who have been a disaster on defense this season. If he is out, then turn to Spencer Dinwiddie with a 1.45x multiplier.

Final Thoughts
There are a lot of top-shelf guards in play tonight, so we should be able to find some differentiation there.
